It's a nice display piece, I guess, but doesn't really scream SWERVE'S to me. Maybe if I want to build that bar in Hedonia with the minicons. You didn't watch Zootopia, did you?
Neither do the guys you like to imagine have characters. Getting portrayed and getting lines doesn't equal having a personality That doesn't even matter. There are lots of characters that never appeared in fiction that are pure awesome. Every time one of them gets a toy the stars in heaven burn a little brighter and children who are born in that moment come into the world with a smile on their face.
I think people often say 'character' when they really mean 'design'. I agree that it takes more than a few lines of dialogue to make a character... it takes development, back-story, something to get invested in. But a design? Ya.. you can have a bot show up for one panel and completely fall in love with its design, and want a toy made of it, even if there is no substance behind it.
The word character has different meanings. But if you want to use another word I'd say entity rather than design. Or creation would be more accurate perhaps.
Or maddening because other people live in you. It's funny two good ways of dealing with the issue of public gathering places have been brought up but both bring up other problems. It's no wounder they ended up in an endless war.
Well since this is coming with that beautiful Decepticon throne this is going on my Decepticon Fortress for the DJD and other cons to hang out and drink. Although I'll have to decide who's bar tending Soundwave or Kaon
Hahaha it was immediately the first thing I thought when I saw the set. It was the barstools. I plan on getting some fat syringes that are normally used for injecting food and stuff.. anyway. Getting some of those and filling them with some clear hair gell and food dye for the energon vats that we're behind the bar. I'll also probably grab one of those space walls sets to fix it to and add some extra sculpting clay to give it a final touch (tubes, hoses, random details. All that would really be needed is the big round table and a few booths and it's basically done. May have to play around with the bar height and extending the barstools a bit .but with a little extra work, this set has a good foundation to become Swerve's It's all in the barstools. Though I guess Milne will draw them pretty universal looking across the board. Still. I'm just happy to get a somewhat close representation that I can build upon lol
Most definitely. Always wanted my comic figures display to stick out from the rest. And this was the ideal theme lol

Nice that you can use the parts as seats or tables, but the set comes with just two of them. If the point is that we buy several sets for a decent bar display, I'd need to buy like 3 sets, to end up with 3 thrones, which I don't need at all, so not sure if it's worth the hassle to sell them, and I may simply pass. Why not sell the throne as a separate item?
