It certainly is a bit away and while I don’t tend to promote changing designs from their original intent, I would be more than okay with another iteration of this figure.

Absolutely love the bot mode but I feel like the alt modes are regressing a bit to IF’s more notorious, earlier figures like Norimune and Muramasa. While those were solid figures, their altmodes were quite passable.

For this figure, I don’t care about cassette mode, I’d just as soon leave it in favor of a more coherent armored vehicle mode like shows up in some of the IDW comics.
I definitely want to see the cassettebots in some way or another like they had done before as shields and drones, I don’t care to actually see them as cassettes though lol

yeah, i meant, the price could change, addition of "cassettebots" and maybe.. just maybe a vehicle mode that didn't look like complete junk.

At first I saw a rail car, but I really think that EX41 Sonicwave looks a mobile home.

But, I also think that it could be a pest exterminator’s van, with a pair of prop or ornamental cans of insecticide on the roof, which leads me to a very unlikely thought...

If IF made a Shattered Glass Sonicwinnebago, then maybe ToyHax could pull off some Ghostbusters stickers, and, to go the full distance, perhaps Mech Fans Toys could produce some Diaclone Troopers made to look like a few Ghostbusters. And, if MFT could manage some Diaclone Trooper sized proton packs, that would be a feat.

However, I would be plenty happy with a Bizarro Sonicwave that includes Glit, and Sundor if we’re lucky.

Also, I think bot mode looks a lot like Mega Action Series’ big yuge Soundwave in proportions. And... tape deck mode looks basically like nothing, but I guess I could be exteremely generous and say that Soundwave is hiding as a new car stereo system from Best Buy.

Still, I think a Cybertronian Lamp Post mode might be more effective.  

I largely blame Battlezone 64 for this, but I think that’s an acceptable hover tank.

With some teeny tiny plastic stand like the Container Store’s Amac Boxes, I believe it can... well maybe not fly but appear to be convincingly hovering around.

However, it certainly does look more like a bit of Terran Infrastructure in Starcraft.  

 

I'm down with the futurized Cybertron alt mode 55 Chevy, or dodge ram, or ford Raptor, or whatever they are shooting for.   I would have liked to have seen the comic Striker APC alt mode.. but.. I just love he has a mobile alt mode, and still a wacked out scale tape deck.   He's a triple changer too now!   Would love to see tiny tapes like the ones for Hot Soldiers or DX9 etc.. but I like this. It will probably add to the havoc strike on my wallet from this new IF run..I have a good sized IF collection now that I didn't expect. Good toys. My only constructive crit is that I hope he is a little tall to medium in IF scale..he should be in the larger class bots imo. ( He actually looks a pretty good size next to Shockwave who is a tiny bit taller than the usual it seems.) I really hope IF continues to do different height bots.. just find some are too small for their character. So do that IF. Ok?

Holy hell! IF is really filling out their Decepticon lineup.
Now I really wish they had ditched the cassette player mode for a full APC mode. They don't seem to transform into a drone like Ravage, but they aren't motorcycles either.

 

Yea, the tapes look good, but I still can't get past how bad the "truck" mode is. Maybe the tapes will have a way of combining with it to make it look cool?

 

I hope so. They done that before with their OP, Jetfire and Megatron so there is precedent.

 

I think I see wheels as their calves.
Insta-buy if they turn into trailers that can be hooked up with SW.

because they are IF i must own these. but i need to see the full color of the frumble set to be sure.

i just love the PE set to no end. but thankfully i have like 3 sets so i can just sell some off to buy these.

 

So whatever R+F turn into, it looks like they split in the middle of the waist, so maybe they are motorcycles? That's typically a motorcycle thing to do.

 

They did in the comics, it’s a good assumption.

I was thinking about getting the MST Rumble and Frenzy but if IF is doing them, think I'm gone pass on the MST ones.

 

They already have pre-orders up for Soundwave, right? I would be thrilled to pay that price and get Rumble and Frenzy, but I think they will be sold separately.
