I think he @Autobot Burnout was saying was he was the center of every "battle". But if you think of it once Optimus dies the robots take a back seat, not just prime.. Although personally I am happy with the spotlight Jetfire gets..but action wise it's pretty much Prime or nothing in ROTF

I don’t understand how Spider-Man takes over the 3rd place slot. It’s in multiple weeks of release, it’s in 300 more theaters, I guess we will see.

No your making it sound way worse then is. And just like with dropkick it wasn't necessary at that point. You don't have arguments to stand on. Just keep saying the same thing. You can't handle others being right.

I think it will stabilize and do well in the coming weeks actually. It's still the holiday season and there are ALOT of films to compete with, I expect Spiderman and Bee to stabilize and or have a bit of a comeback vs aquaman.

However what do I know..I just have a good feeling!

He also has the whole one-on-one thing with Sam after Bumblebee crashes the frat party and annoys Alice.

Suffice to say he's far more focal than the runners up for most screen time...who are Skids and Mudflap and they kind of just disappear after Mudflap blows up Devy's face.

He's still pretty minimal in 2 hr + movie. Even the first movie, Optimus shows up pretty late.

Anyway, Bumblebee has enough charm as a character in China. About as equal as Optimus.

Believe me, I sometimes see statues of him when I went there.

Ok so Forbes published a new article and I think gets into an essential point many of you here just won’t or don’t want to accept

The third (and biggest?) issue in play may just be the skewed irony of making a Transformers movie that goes out of its way to not be like the other Transformers movies. Yes, yes, we all talk about the Michael Bay movies as if they are the nadir of blockbuster cinema, but A) they clearly had their fans and B) they were the biggest, in terms of scale and size, super-duper blockbusters around. To a certain extent, the sheer gonzo chutzpah was part of their appeal and what made them stand out even alongside MCU movies, Pirates of the Caribbean adventures and Harry Potter flicks. Yes, the obnoxious human characters, the rude-and-crude robots, the glistening yellow cinematography and the massive robot smackdowns were a big part of the franchise’s appeal.

What if the success of Michael Bay’s Transformers movies was rooted in the global appeal of Michael Bay’s Transformers movies, as opposed to an inherent interest in the mere idea of a Transformers movie? If so, then a smaller-scale and more conventional nostalgia-fest, one that combines nostalgia for grounded IP adaptations with nostalgia for kid-friendly fare like The Iron Giant or E.T., may be a case of removing much of audiences specifically liked about that specific franchise. Yes, Transformers: The Last Knight fell 40% from its $1 billion+ predecessors (which may just prove that audiences grew tired of them), but these films were still sold as being the biggest of the big when it came to super-duper action fantasy spectacle. It’s not like you could see a robot riding a dinosaur in an MCU movie or a Star Wars sequel.

Dino riding is totally possible for both of them.

That's if the MCU movies one day take us to Savage Land.

For Star Wars, we have yet to see this on the big screen.

A bit sad to see the box office numbers falling like this. Unlike some I'm not super optimistic. Movies live and die based up their starts. Bad start, bad stigma, and people already writing it off as "just another Transformers train wreck" won't save it. A total shame as I absolutely loved the movie, and it deserves to do well.

...and I think the point many of you can't seem to grasp is that the Bay formula stopped working. Sure, people would've liked the Bay style...but then you guys didn't watch TLK and TLK tanked big time. You also forget that the author talks about two other points that are just as relevant...points I actually made too in the past. Bad word of mouth, association with other terrible movies are also contributors.

I am sorry, but your argument here has got to be one of the stupidest things I have read all week.
Like, I am sturggling to comprehend the logic, sounds more like bitching for the sake of bitching. I am beginning to question whether you are trolling or just plain...intellectually deficient.

Spiderverse is a better movie than Bumblebee, and than Aquaman for that matter, so if it truly beats us in the box office it's honestly entirely deserved.

For context, TLK had an opening week gross of $61M.

    Not apple-to-apple comparison though.
