thank you. I've since checked my account, luckily my card info wasnt stored. so I'll be ok. but again I appreciate the effort in informing the local fanbase.
I just had mine stolen after buying a few figures during Black Friday week. Someone in Detroit, MI used "my debit card" and spent nearly $1K at Home Depot.. I live in Cleveland. I had my identity stolen a few years back, and never figured out why.. now I'm wondering if it was through TFSource then as well.. Either way, remove your card information from their site ASAP. I'm not shocked they're not saying anything publicly about it.. Christmas time is very profitable. Not a good look. TFSource is now at the very bottom of my list, and will only pay via PayPal in the future, if I ever use them again.
Tarnation. Had to close my debit card due to a couple of holds I didn't recognize. Bank was great and shut it all down, I didn't lose a penny for even a day - but I was wondering where I got sniped. Now I remember I hit TFSource's Black Friday Sale with that card. Think I found the culprit.
Damn. I just ordered mpm6 from them and mpm7 before when that came out. I just deleted my card info. Hopefully it was in time
I have a ton of preorders in my stack which I would have to cancel to remove my card. I have ordered thousands of dollars of figures over the past year or so from them. So far I have not seen any odd charges on my card but I will be monitoring it closely. I have always had good experiences with TFSource up until now, but this may push me to change to a new primary provider for my figures.
Thank you very much for posting this. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I wasn't able to find an option which would allow me to delete the card on file. Cancelled my remaining pre-orders and there it was. Thanks again.
Not to mention it still advertises a 60$+ gift if you spend $300. All I got was POTP Jazz and identity theft!
They probably meant that the credit card thieves will spend $60+. Your cc is sponsoring someone elses gift
My card has been on file for awhile. It will not allow me to delete my card without adding a new one, even though I chose Paypal as payment option. I really wish they'd set it up to where you can link your Paypal account and not have to have a credit card on their site. It's one of the many reasons I like AmiAmi, HLJ and AJ. You use Paypal and not have to have a card on file. I only use TFS for exclusive MPs and 3P. As for BBTS, they use to be my primary for exclusives and 3P, but switched when they started receiving their shipments late and mailing out shipments at a snails pace. They're also the only retailer I used that do not offer free shipping for purchases 150.00 and over.
Those of you saying you hope you deleted your card in time...the breach already happened. Get a list of places you use that card (like bills/subscriptions) and set up a different card. Because even if you don't proactively cancel the card, if you report a fraudulent charge or they notify you of one, the issuer will cancel it and reissue with a different number. If this is a debit card and your only card, get two weeks of cash expenses from an ATM before you call to cancel it.
Does this apply at all if you used a card but didn't store it on the site? So far don't see anything weird on my accounts
Not sure. But if I were you, I’d be proactive and just assume your info has been compromised and close the card. What sucks is you’ll be without one for 1-2 weeks.
I think there is a massive difference between overselling and trying to save face vs. getting your customer's personal and CC info stolen.
I think this happened to me too. The card I had on file is only used at a few places. $1200 to best buy dot com fwiw
