I will be watching the film soon and i just want to know if i should/could stick by the end of the credits, or if i am free to go once the credits start rolling
There's the scene that plays right after Knight's name during the credits. But as far as end of the credits, I don't think there's anything.
Not even a mid credits scene, It looked like they couldnt decide on how to end the movie so they used two different ones with Knight's credit separating both. It was weird.
Yeah it was pretty long too. It was like they had a couple of extra scenes they wanted to use so they were just tacked onto the end. Personally I think I would've removed the ending Spoiler they had in front of the house and switched it with the Corvette being fixed, then use the Autobot arrival as a mid-credits scene.
I must admit I found the ending a little clunky. I don't think any of it should have been removed, but it probably could have been re-edited, with only Prime's scene being after the credits. I think the mid-credits stuff was supposed to be an epilogue, but maybe it should have been spaced out more, or played while the credits were rolling (similar to Toy Story 3's epilogue). Someone claimed there was an after-credits scene at one screening, but I don't think anyone else has mentioned it. It could have been some kind of other advertisement, or maybe an alternate cut, like with TLK.
The movie has three endings. The movie felt like it could have ended on a good note after the first ending. Also, why was there a crowd and police barricade at Charlie's house? Missing scenes and information much? The mid-credits stuff felt very forced. Especially that particular moment that changes things. Felt so last minute in the production and tacked on, for sure. Ugh.
Yeah, saw it for the second time today. I think I enjoyed the movie more as a whole but the ending seemed odd, having two scenes tacked on one after the other. Especially as both times I've seen it the cinema put the lights back on when the end title came up (they tend to leave them dimmed if there are any mid- or post-credit scenes). The Autobots' arrival should've been the last scene shown for sure.
Did like the license plate font they used on Travis Knight's name. I couldn't help but feel given how his last name looked, if that was a little nod to "Knight Rider," given Kitt's license plate.
