I love how Barber made Hearts of Steel canon, might be one of my favourite things from the recent comics.

I would really be okay if they just avoided "old Cybertron thing found on Earth" plot lines for the rest of forever.

If they have to do it on Earth. Prime's main conflict could be his guilt from all the fighting that basically destroyed Ceybertron, so he has opted out of the war. Then he sees the Decepticons enslaving humans and decides that fighting is better than standing by and doing nothing.

Why would Prime need to tell Bumblebee/B-whatever about Earth if he's already been there?

You guys remember that arc from IDW where he goes back to being Orion Pax and has adventures with Wheelie, Garnak and Hardhead? That could be a good foundation for a movie.

Bumblebee not doing well? Shame, it's probably the best of the live action films. Reminds me of the Suikoden game franchise, where 5 was great, but sold poorly due to 4 crapping the bed.

If they ever did something without annoying human characters in it, I would scream to the heavens, "FINALLY!".

"Boy, I can't wait to see what the human characters are like in the next transformers movie.", said literally no one ever.

I haven't seen the BB movie yet, but I read about the post-credits scenes, and without spoiling anything, they directly contradict TF 2007's events. How can they still be trying to play coy about its status as a reboot?

@SilverOptimus What is it going to take to see a cybertron movie with bay aesthetic protoforms? Is it too late now that Paramount may go bankrupt? :cry :drunk

I haven't seen it yet either, but every movie so far contradicts the other movies and anything that came before it, so I wouldn't buy into it that much.

I saw Bumblebee today, and I will say, I HOPE Travis Knight directs the animated Cybertron movie. After seeing what he did in Bumblebee, I can tell that that's where his passion mostly is. He said it himself too, and I feel a story that's purely CGI of the G1 cast would be something he'd REALLY know how to do well. I think as good as Bumblebee was, I'm just tired of human interaction. You know the first part of the movie? Yeah, the best part? Please gimme more. I think a Cybertron set movie might actually get the franchise off its ass again and get fans returning after taking such a hard fall. No humans, that would work wonders for the viewership.

    I'll just clarify,
    There is no "post-credit" scene.
    There is an epilogue.
A small scene at the end before the credits.

I stayed till the Paramont logo and the lights came on so y'all don't have to.

I don't think he was telling B about earth, just telling him where he was going. Giving him a mission briefing.

Prime's a great leader, but maybe he didn't know that B was the one who scouted that planet already.

    *puts on G1 Wizard robes*

Something that also has gotten lost in translation over the years, Originally Transformer names were unpronounceable in engl,,,,"human language" so they adopted "Earth code-names" based on approximate translations. As much as I hate his work, Bay did kinda get this right in 2007 with Frenzy and Starscream's "modem language".

If you liked the Captain America origin, which was well recieved, Optimus has a similar origin.

    hqdefault.jpg

Megatron was like Pax's big brother who became evil, while Pax transcends his meekness to face his own friend in battle.

The other part of this is Megatron. If the story is done right he will be a charmer before his turn. Eventually he will turn hard toward military like ZOD

Michael Shannon channels early Megatron with his Zod.

Anyway a well done 3 Dimensional Megatron would really seal the deal.

If the CGI looked really good, and the story is good, I would welcome a TF prequel telling the tale of how the war began.

They could create a story that feels like a Greek tragedy or a Shakespearean play. I want it to touch on how good intentions can turn evil, how good people turn bad, and ordinary people rise up to do good.

Hey guys, I’m new here, BIG fan of TF, and I would love to share my thoughts on this! First of all, I’m a middle school kid and even I hated the Bay films, and the news of a Cybertron movie REALLY excites me. Second, Lorenzo, have you not heard of Optimus’ origin?

Good idea! However, I think a Prime movie should be like the Autocracy comics by IDW.

I'm not sure why so many people are talking like the Optimus movie is going to be about his origin. If the movie covers it, it will likely be in brief flashbacks, similar to the Cybertron scenes in Bumblebee. It's more likely that the Optimus movie will take place on Earth after the Bumblebee movie (it could even be in modern times). A movie all about Optimus' origins would have to be fully/mostly animated, which isn't the case. The Optimus movie is live-action, the Cybertron prequel is animated.

Lorenzo says a lot of goofy stuff, but he's right on the money with his statement about Optimus being a tricky character to make a movie about. Note that he's not saying it's impossible, just trickier. Optimus has less character flaws than someone like Bumblebee, and is less relatable to the average person. Again, he's not talking about Orion Pax, he's talking about Optimus Prime as most people know him.
