How has everyone's QC been so far for the deluxes and voyagers? My Flywheels/SkyTread will be here tomorrow and im worried with the QC issues i've heard about his legs, and my Optimus arrived with one chest panel that doesnt close as much as the other, and small amounts of mold flash on 4-5 parts and a small amount of white paint in an area it shouldnt be (Came off easy). I have Sideswipe, Hound, Megs, and Prime at the moment with FlyWheels and Cog coming tomorrow from HTS. Seems some of them may have been rushed to have them in the US for the holidays? Curious to see how everyone else has been.
The only figure I had slight issues with was Optimus with a window that doesn’t close all the way, The front left wheel leans out a bit, and the roof is slightly warped. I fixed the window and wheel with a hobby knife. Nothing major and it’s easy to fix. It’s better than misaligned pins. I own a bunch of deluxes and I have no issues. The prime wars trilogy had far worse QC issues.
I have Sideswipe, Hound, Flywheels. No issues at all. Nice tight joints and no paint issues. I bought them all from Amazon within the last week.
Think you should be fine. Sounds like you'll be getting Skytread from a latter batch. I got the early wave 1 batch mid November and Skytread had the glued leg that wouldn't bend at the hip. Got a perfect replacement last week from a restock batch. From your comments I just took a closer look at my Optimus and no issues. The rest of wave one is perfect. However, my micromasters is a bit of a disappointment that can't be fixed. Those just aren't for me but I'm happy others enjoy them. Good luck.
Have everything except the Leaders. The ONLY issue I've experienced is Cog's pelvis separating, which was easily fixed with a dab of glue.
The only issue I've had so far has been some mold flash on Optimus that kept a few things from tabbing in all the way. An exacto knife fixed that. Other than that, Megatron, Flywheels, the Micromasters, and Battle Masters are all great! Sideswipe and Hound are on order from HTS, but haven't shipped yet.
The only issues I have with my Siege Optimus is the wrist swivel on both hands are a bit loose (which is fixable with some disassembly, nail polish and plastic cement) and a barely noticeable stress mark on the right front windshield. Other than that, everything else is good.
My Sideswipe is actually really solid. The only problem was that the bridge of the nose had some black or cut on it. It's not that noticeable but he's fine. Cog's butt flap separated and it seems I may need to add some glue to tighten it up and he can't hold his weapon correctly, which I'm believing as widespread and not really QC. Hound has his eyes a little scratched up and his right arm elbow bend is looser than his left. And alas, Flywheels is pretty much perfect in the QC like Sideswipe. I've yet to get any Voyagers and no Leaders in stock as of for now. Still searching for Voyager case DCPI.
My Flywheels doesn’t tab well together for me in tank mode. A lot of Siege just uses clip on stuff instead of pins... so I’ve pulled off peices and had to snap them back on. Not major, just annoying.
i get that these r minor issues and should not be a problem but it disturbs me this is an example for optimus cab the left is wider than the right i also realised this in baltmatrix video review too
my siege sideswipe also has issues with the paint on the chin and part of the swivel thigh kind of melt but it dosent affect posability my siege megatron has this minor sculpting issue with the lines that r suppose to simulate the g1 face but instead it just looks like he has a scar
