i like the truck mode on this, because it disguises the legs better, they don't look like the obvious OP legs behind the cab. But for 'bot mode i prefer the Magic Square.

that guy looks awesome. i didnt know there were any toys with collapsing pecks like that. its the only way to get true "butterfly joint"type movement. and robot toys are probably the only ones who can do it without looking weird

Head and chest does resemble this guy.

Which is similar to Studio Ox except for parts of the head and the wheels.

the more i look at both, the more im worried both will come up short. then we will have to wait for IT, THF, WJ etc etc to KO and fix it.

TEs camel toe isnt that bad, but that cheer leading A stance is just awful. most of his standing stances they show are all basically the same, close together or super wide. very limiting

MS just looks like it could become a loose sloppy vag within a month. those arm/shoulder sockets pull out fairly easy. i wonder what other parts are loose.

Im now officially undecided until i see several unbiased reviews of each.

I see why TT possibly settled for a V3 of V3 and let their subs do these

MS Toys is a cleaner and better version of MP-10 with cleaner surfaces. But those pull out joints look ghastly.

TE-01 is an attempt at more toon like design like the EX Gokin figure and simpler than MP-44, especially with a slim back.

MP-44 is lineart accurate but uses a backpack.

The retail price quoted for TE-01 is the same as MS-toys 01.

Read further back in the thread. Someone mentioned that they said they were fixing the outward ratchets before release, along with a few other tweaks.

ah, the we are going to fix it line. ive heard that one before.

if they do, great, because it will change my opinion about it some. however, ill believe its fixed, when i see its fixed. just another reason for another delay eh? as is, there is no way i pick it up with that current A stance. definitely not at full retail, but maybe at 50 bucks

Well they've tweaked loads of things in the past two or three weeks since the initial colour reveals, so there's no reason they couldn't do that. It's not like it requires any mould changes. It just requires that they use a ratchet with smaller teeth for the final version.

i dont disagree its an easier fix than other things.

What if they bought/made 20k dollars worth of larger teeth ratchets already and have no more cash for smaller ones. Im just saying, i just see it as it is until it isnt. Lets hope they fix it though.

why why why did they put a logo hole on the shoulder. You just know it's going to be juuuust not the right size for a decal by like 3 millimiters.

From the sound of it, it seems like an off-the-shelf part cos they are going to try a couple to see which gives better result. The current one is 24-teeth. They are going to try 28 and 32 teeth.

Someone (online?) then asked if it would affect the stability. The presenter said no, but he noted that more teeth is easier to wear out.

Ugh... That might be a deal breaker for me. 3 primes all with tragic flaws.

Ok... Finally watched the Youku video. (I actually installed the app since it played without ads)

The transformation is intuitive, but very panely. I'm afraid of possible stress marks but it seemed from the video he didn't have issues manipulating pieces Just have to be patient.

The face looks better to me perhaps since it looked to be more matte colored. Not gonna lie... I'm torn between this and MS.

MS is menacing, love the matte finish, better face sculpt IMO, looks good with MP Megs 2.0 and the transformation is right at home with the original MP Prime.

What has me leaning towards Element is the fact it's way more toon accurate (albeit due to the lack of sculpt work compared to MS), the matrix area is epic and it hides the bulk amazingly well.

I need more shots of this guy with Megs and more poses.

UPDATE: Watching this again, I'm liking it more. However improving the hip ratchets for a better stance and making the ankle rocker move down even more would be nice improvements. What kinda sucks (at least from what I noticed) is no ab crunch. Not a deal breaker IMO.

Ab crunch is overrated. I’m getting this and Magic Square’s Prime anyway. MP-44 gets a hard pass for now... o_O
