it's good with me if it all scales nicely and is good but given magic squares rep I'd say it'll be good

That and how it sizes up with IF Bruticus.
Color would be nice as well.

Are these Iron Factory scale? For space conservation and because I prefer smaller figures, seriously considering moving mostly to IF legends scale. If these scale well, may get these instead of completing XTB Monolith simply because I have no other figures for those to go with, but legends is my butter and jam, lol

Breakdown is my favorite Stunticon though, so Idon't mind a random oddball like him. ;)

i think these are smaller than IF bots but only by a hair. so they should work fine.

IF carbots are a little bulkier given their aesthetic, but other than that, they're pretty much the same size as MST. For example, see this post.

    Thanks man!

Looks these don't have wrist swivels sadly though. Also they're fairly pricey for how little their articulation seems to be in comparison to IF. Not sure if I like Dead End's longboi torso either. Ehhhh... I love XTB Crackup, might just give up on scale and pay some more for a set I love the look of. My collection's random scaling and lack of room for very large figures is just driving me mad! Gahh! o-O

No problem! And two more things: 1) most MST figures *do* have have wrist swivel. Sideswipe/Red Alert certainly do (whereas IF's versions of those characters don't.) Off the top of my head, I think only MST's Inferno/Grapple lack wrist swivel. So I would expect the Stunticons to have it. And 2) MST articulation is generally on par with IF IMO (and in some cases better, given that many of their figures have ab crunch). Just check this out if you haven't already!

These early Stunticon prototypes may not have it, but I would expect their production versions to have it since MST has moved to doing wrist swivel the very easy way of peg on hands.

my thoughts are that this might be a mega dud in combined mode.

now if it is the reason this hasnt been shown yet. that will fucking kill this company in my eyes as far as i am concerned.

they were quick to show renders and protos for everything under the sun that they make. even their god gonria prime and that was absolute shit but they still showed him. so why the big secret it is not like they are the first people to make a combiner.

IF set the bar as to what a legends combiner is and if MS wants to take a shot at the king they need to produce an amazing menasor and not some bland POS.

just some thoughts that run through my head.

meh, Menasor has always been a fairly bad looking bot.. just some fairly simple cars slapped onto a torso and some added hands and feet. Devastator has always been the best, the entire body comprised of actual bot machinery, and the irregularity of their shapes helping to make the silhouette look complex. Bruticus is somewhere in the middle with the crappy jeep and tank legs looking obvious but at least the arms are less obvious and the military hardware is more bulky. Superion has the insides of the planes face forward which at least disguises the planes. But Menasor? He's always been a pile of cars slapped together.

But hey, the MST bots look great in their own right. Their finish might not be as shiny as I'd like (probably), but what great looking little bots.

It feels like they've been avoiding these guys for some reason, they've had figured revealed and released since they first showed of the stunticons

I think X-Transbots did a great job of making him look good:

I don't know that they were pushed back, or that there's any reason to think that they are due out soon.

MST just showed off their revised Motormaster design in October. There was no update at SGC earlier this month, so I would assume he's nailed down at this point. With CNY coming up, I would bet on seeing some color Stunticon samples in February.

War Giant did indeed set a very high bar for a Legends combiner. Anything less from MST would be a disappointment to me. So as I've said before, I don't mind if MST take their sweet time to get things right. The fact that they went so far as to completely redesign their Motormaster suggests that they are trying to do just that, which is a good thing -- because I don't like disappointment! :lol

Of course it *might* turn out to be a mega dud, bland POS (as lilcarus depressingly speculates). And if one doesn't like MST's toon-based aesthetic to begin with, that this will end up that way is pretty much a foregone conclusion no matter what they do. However, I like MST's aesthetic and their track record so far has more than earned them the benefit of the doubt from me. So I continue to look forward to this and not even impatiently, since they have so many other figures coming out to keep me satisfied while I wait.
