Serious question. What percent of the fandom do you think actually hates partforming to the point it makes the decision on every purchase for them. I think it is probably pretty low but there is a very vocal minority. Personally, It doesn’t bother me one bit. The one type I do find a little annoying is when it is only in one mode but not a deal breaker at all.

 

Parts forming isn't a big deal. What is a big deal is when parts are only needed in one mode and left aside in any other modes. Biggest cop out in a transformer.
Regular parts forming though? Hell most figures that have gun storage in alt mode are technically parts formers if you have to remove the gun from alt mode and then put it in their hands or weapon storage in robot mode. Or even more so when the weapon is part of the alt mode.
Clear distinctions are important.

 

You can get it from this post. I recoloured all of the black insignias red or purple before printing so I had more to go around.

I'm going to edit the Autobot logo, give it a thin white trim around it on clear paper, save me having to carefully cut it, see if that works.

If it does, I owe you dude!

 

Unfortunately I don't think that'll work on clear waterslide paper, as printers can't print white.

While you can't print white, you can also get white waterslide paper, but you have to trim carefully. The decepticon logo can be a bit annoying. I like the clear on Quietus however, as the color is just enough different.

 

Yeah I know, that's what I do, but he mentioned he was going to use clear paper with a white outline. You're right though, the Con logos are really annoying to cut around, particularly the smaller ones.

 

Ah, I hadn't considered that. That's a real shame. I wonder how the water decal packs manage to make the white outline without having to be cut to shape.

Yeah, I guess I'll have to do it with the white paper.

Luckily for me, it'll only be autobot logos. I never do cons with a white outline. Even on my Sovereign before I painted him, I put a clear one on him. Just never looks right with a white outline con logo. I'll bet they're a bitch to cut.

 

The silver outlines aren't bad, that's the one I put on my Sovereign. It matches the silver bits on his body, anyway. But the white outline doesn't work.

 

Got him in a few days ago and finally got a chance to mess with him. Like everyone else has said the finish is amazing! Mine has no damage out the box and all the joints are tight...After I get a Decepticon logo on him I'll try to CAREFULLY transform him lol. But this is my 2nd Fanstoys figure smh I am very pleased with my purchases so far........ Hydra is on the way next!

 

Nice shot. If you have a darker background Quietus' white parts (thighs, biceps) may show a little better. Is that Sovereign's transparent cannon?

Both figure and cannon are not Sovereign's.

 

Finally got around to transforming him and I must have gotten a rare copy because I had no issues tabbing in the cockpit. A much simpler transformation than Eligos, surprisingly, and the end result is a far superior toy in both modes and construction.

This is truly an incredible toy.
