See I thought that was kinda not the point though. Cause I remember hearing that theme from cheers “where everybody knows your name” and cliffjumper just saying who he is. It seemed like a reference to how he’s kinda c list and everyone just sees him as red bumblebee. That’s what made me feel bad about his death. So it actually was kinda fitting. But it was more cause he’s less significant to others.
    Oh yeah. The red shirts.
Lol nothing against you guys but I love how I see that somebody really liked this and then I scroll down and instantly find another person saying how shit it was.

This movie was friggin’ great. Charlie was a charming protagonist whose inner turmoils feel genuine. The best friend/love interest is a funny character whose friendship with Charlie actually develops and feels real. Lots of fun 80s references. Cybertron scenes, while brief, are standouts of the movie. John Cena’s a fun antagonist whose motivations are clearly established at the beginning of the movie and has a satisfying character arc. Shatter and Dropkick weren’t as fleshed out as they could have been, but you learn enough about them. Shatter’s the more dominant, mission-oriented partner while Dropkick is her trigger-happy subordinate. They’re threatening and quite cool looking, but I’d still argue that Sentinel Prime and Lockdown were better villains over all.

Lastly, but most imporantly, Bumblebee himself. This Bee is a good amalgamation of G1 Bee and Movie Bee. He’s child-like, reckless, and mischevious, but he’s also a brave, resourceful soldier and a loyal friend. You SEE all of those qualities in this movie. He’s not as much of an ass-kicker this time around, and he’s not as hot-headed as we see him in AOE and TLK. I, personally, welcome these changes.

All in all, this was a fun coming-of-age movie with good action, good characters, and real heart. I had a few issues, but nothing that ruined the movie for me. I gave it an 8.5/10.

It felt sooooo good to see Decepticons kick ass and elicit reactions from the audience; when Shatter started wailing on Bee after Charlie disabled the transmitter, I was loving every second. Speaking of which, I love her and Dropkick and their dynamic with one another.

Soundwave's and Shockwave's voices were... perfect, considering the fact they weren't voiced by Frank and Corey respectively but sounded strikingly similar. Also, seeing Brawn for some reason. God, dude, my cheeks were aching in the best way possible from smiling.

Enjoyed how Bee was a mix of that rebellious teenager we see in the movieverse and his signature heartwarming, playful scout self.

They did Cliff so dirty, lmao.

So basically what happens to him through the past five movies, yes? I mean, it's not like we just had one movie where Prime is literally ripping him to pieces, or in Dark of the Moon where he was nearly executed, or in the original where Sector 7 captures and takes him to get experimented on.

And Bumblebee doing cute antics is sorta his thing in the Movieverse.

This has been Bumblebee's character since 2007. He gets beaten the hell up but then comes back and kicks ass. He's an underdog.

Dropkick's death reminds me of the death of the Black Knight Ghost from Scooby Doo Monsters Unleashed. Would it have been something after the explosion, Dropkick's head would drop to the ground and he said, "Oh Crap."

God forbid a movie has actual characters and isn’t just a giant explosion fest. Bumblebee isn’t meant to be a ferce warrior who can take on army on his own and even if he could, for most of the movie he doesn’t have any of his memories so wh wouldn’t know how to properly fight back against Dropkick and Shatter who were twice his size and definitely more powerful than him. He even had trouble beating Blitzwing while he still had his memories because he’s a scout not a warrior. The movie had great pacing, a great Story, and unlike the last five films actually gave the characters some character. I can’t tell if you’re being a troll or not but you obviously don’t know how movies should be made.

No, he's a troll. He keeps saying he hates the movie just because he was the only one in the theatre when he saw it, thinking that no one was interested.

Believe me, there wasn't much people in my theatre when I saw it, but that was because it was in the afternoon and not a midnight view. I wanted to see it during the day because it was less busy and less overwhelming. There was like... five or six families there. Plus our theatre is on its last legs, so I won't be able to see anymore movies next year unless our theatre can be saved.

Seeing Bumblebee was a great treat for a last time movie in our town's theatre. Totally worth it.

I thought it was really excellent, charming, heart-warming and a fun time.

Was it perfect? Of course not, but it's ultimately a step in the right direction.

Uh. They absolutely travel in ships in this one. You even see Ironhide climb into a pod and it surrounds him before it launches. Bumblebee is sitting upright in a cockpit... That's absolutely different from the previous films.

Yeah I dunno why but I did the same. Like it’s brawn! It’s the funny strong man! Like he’s one of the best characters in the original show and it was great to see him here.
Weird. I would’ve never thought of that.
Yeah I need to do the same. I’ve the new Spider-Man three times now so I can stop and watch bumblebee more. Cause I also want to support the future.
I tell you what I can make a full essay on the amount of reasoning against this being just a prequel.

I find it funny that Bayverse fans are generally the ones that are not liking this movie....

I just saw the movie with the wife and we loved it. Best movie outside of the 1986 one.

Really really loved what they did at the end to show this is a reboot ...... because eff the bayverse..... Bee could of mated with Charlie and it still would of been better than the bayverse... for a minute i was fearing the tape deck was in bee's crotch and I screamed inside my head oh no you didnt go michael bay on this movie but thankfully it was in his tummy so Charlie didnt have to touch Bee's crotch like I started fearing for a minute LOL But even if they did... it still would of been better than the 2 and a half hours of that disgusting display on the screen in Bay's movies.

Travis Knight has my love and admiration for bringing characters and storytelling back to transformers.

Bayverse is dead ......... and I couldnt be more thrilled. If this movie doesnt do well enough..... it will put the franchise on hold to do a complete reboot in a few years............ if it does well then the movies from here on out will differ from the bayverse movies ........... either way the bayverse is dead and the first 10 minutes of G1 love ........... so many people love that and Knight wants to do a whole movie on that... so G1 saves the day... Til all are one G1 that is

Lol I was honestly kinda hoping that we would get a robot and human hook up. But we could leave that for another time. Maybe if they bring in powerglide. And yeah I still think it’s a reboot. But this news about the megatron scene downed my spirits a bit. But hopefully other people on the reboot team will find ways to work around it.

Was this a megatron scene that was cut from the movie? I imagine it was just cut because they didnt know which way they wanted to go until the movie came out and fans gave feed back
