Glad they're saving best for last. The lineup is genius actually. Crackup isn't the best of them, but the least expensive, and a good toe dipper. Then the real sexy ones are later. Then you gotta buy them all.

Also if Menasor is a seperate parts set, I hope they'l release a toy accurate version. Not a fan of toon Menasor's head.

Nice! So arm shells are confirmed. Already was pretty much confirmed/assumed based on their proportions to the leg cars, but there it is. Also it appears the leg cars are secured and mounted by what I'm assuming are false wheels that cover and lock them in place. Makes sense since there doesn't appear to be any other mounting mechanism on the chest of either of the two released figures.

 

You call that a sword? LOL



Combined mode is looking good. And a good size. I'm glad that the trailer is just a shell: both the trailer and the combiner body are not compromised (size, hinges).
I'll probably have a lot of spare parts around but the look takes priority here, and I'm fine with that.

 

I don't like the face sculpt...looks a bit happy go derpy for Menasor, at least without any paint. It looks like one of the FT dinobot derp faces.

Also, there is a lot of scope for those car shells to go wrong...like if the colours don't quite match for the arm bots and their shells it will look off. Also if the fit isn't just right, could look a bit gappy from some angles.

Very promising on the whole though. As is DX9s from what they've shown. Be nice to see a digibash so it cleans up the different plastics being used in the test shot.

I wonder if DX9 having larger cars means they don't add the shells in. And FansToys...it would be pretty funny if they went toy inspired! Might win a few sales for a more old school approach!

Also...anti parts forming people are going to have a heart attack over this..

The scaling has me out, ill buy the car bots but have no interest in the false upscaled shells for the arms

So XTB has a prototype but didn't show this at the Shanghai toy show? They could have dropped the mic with this there.
I don't know how I feel about the hollow fingers.

I think I missed some updates on this guy.....so the trailer for menasor is just going to be a battle station and not the bulk of menasors body? If so, thats kind of a bummer and I may just get these for their individual modes. I dig that dx9 was able to incorporate the trailer.

Hmm, I can't say I'm too happy about so many fake parts. If he works without the fake parts attached and just looks slightly sillier, I'd go for that. Otherwise, I might have to pass, which would be a shame because I think the individual figures look great. Guess I'll have to keep waiting for the Menasor I want...

 

Iirc there are 2 trailers. We think one is Menasor's body and the other is the battle station. At least that's what I remember from the discussion, might be wrong.

 

From what the designer said and the pictures im pretty sure the shells of the trailers are the battle station and probably something in combined mode but the bulk of the combined mode is inside the trailers
