I couldn't find an all-encompassing general thread for box office results besides for a few prediction threads. With the movie releasing soon, I decided to start one. So far, we have some information about the pre-sale ticket numbers and a few reported box office numbers.

Fandango is reporting in saying Bumblebee is outperforming The Last Knight in presale ticket numbers at the moment:

    Box Office
    ═══════════════
    Domestic:
    $112,393,676
    as of 1/18/19
    Foreign: $65,353,863 as of 1/15/19
    Total: $379,069,544

Edit: Updated the box office stats thanks to being notified by @electronic456

Even though I watched it on the 8th, I’ll definitely go see it again this weekend.

It's biggest competition is still Aquaman. The DC movies have just a bad a reputation with the general public as Bayformers, so that's really a wash. Bayformers are to Transformers what Joel Schumacher is to Batman. DC movies are now even worse than the Schumacher era. The public needs to know they've washed off the stench before they plop down $30 for either of these movies.

I'm still predicting a lot of the general public won't bother until the home video release, after positive word of mouth really hits everyone.

I say $60-70m over the holiday weekend, Friday thru Tuesday. I'd love to see higher tho.

Aquaman is battling Mary Poppins for domestic box office. But looks like Aquaman will be the winner. For Bumblebee, I think it will be the least grossing out of the two. Not flopped maybe, but certainly the least grossing. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

And I'm going to watch it again today, for the 2nd time :)

I do see a lot of enthusiasm online for bumblebee internationally. In major markets like China it won't have nearly the competition. Aquaman has already made it's splash there, so by the time the Bee movie hits there, it'll be the main contender that weekend. So I think with the word of mouth leading to some legs here domestically, and a decent outlook internationally, the movie will definitely profit.

I'm not too sure how much I'd put into pre-sales when it's the crazy weekend leading into Christmas. My guess is that going to the movies this weekend is going to be more spur of the moment as people find enough time to make a trip to the theater.

Worldwide or North America? Domestically here in the US, I think that's a liiiiiitle optimistic. Projections have it just north of 20 million. I think it could maybe do a little better, reach out to 30. I think 80 million is reasonable for an international number. Maybe worldwide it can even reach 90 or 100.

Not likely. There are more DC fans there than in China

That's good! Seems it's shaken off some franchise ill-will.

Christmas Weekend Forecast: 'Aquaman', 'Mary Poppins Returns,' 'Bumblebee,' Second Act,' & 'Welcome to Marwen' - BoxOffice Pro
We're two days from the premiere and not many people are talking about Bumblebee :(

It doesn't even break into top ten of Twitter tracking:
    Twitter Numbers - BoxOffice Pro
But it's tracking on Facebook in the 5th place:

This is what I'm saying to everyone who says "Oh, but the reviews are so good!" That's nice, but unfortunately Bumblebee is not a microbudget A24 film. While I agree that the sentiment towards the film hasn't been this positive since Transformers, the sentiment that is there is much smaller than the other films that it's competing with.

Yeah, it kind of makes one wonder whether people are interested in Transfomers themselves at all or were they only there for the spectacle?

Some of them only want to see the spectacle. That's why they give Bumblebee a bad rating because it's boring and infantile

Don't think advertising was a lot less, my kids have nickelodeon on all day, seems like the bumblebee commercial is on every 10 minutes

Yeah but it's nothing compared to the absolute gigantic promotion for previous films. I mean, a Super Bowl teaser.
