While I love the G1 prime. This is nice and all. I just wish that Hasbro or TT would take their original Toy design and give it a sort of He-Man Classics treatment like Encline Designs did, and give G1 Prime some updated articulation, with lots of ratchets and make him very posable. Give that old G1 toy an update, something that can do action poses with my pending purchase of MP44.



If there are any 3Ps looking at this thread, Give us a Redone G1 prime and a redone G1 Megatron. I would love to see that too!

Winstonojo did a great job! I don't like the additional parts attachments, but I would take it just to get these two customs in a G1 style box, and have all that updated articulation and style! I want these more then I want my originals. I would cherish a release like this, as much as my Masterpiece collection!

I mean seriously, I can see something like this being a huge market for us Nostalgia type fans! G-1 Remastered or G-1 Classics.

 

So far the QC has been amazing on my Starscream Hot Rod and Devastator all way surpass what I expected!

Yeah I mentioned that in my review months ago. But only his optics are tampoed though. And the con symbol on his Megatron gun.

That's what I predicted we'd be getting for Walmart G1 2019 figures. Soundwave in a Starscream sized box and the tapes will replace the minibots on cards.

no interest for me, have my encore still misb but this kinda sucks for anyone that wanted an actual reissue and not half the figure.

if a $50 price is true that is lame as well the encores were around 150 for a set of prime, megs, starscream and soundwave. they rippin you newer fans lookin for g1 reissues off..highway robbery at $50.

 

Only incomplete if you want a giant empty grey box.
sure I could go on eBay and try and fetch one with just his fists, but its extremely annoying and hard to find decent condition ones without the Trailer.
I live in Israel, and shipping can get really expensive. I have no use(or space) for a big empty grey box. so yes, this is perfect for my needs.

I bought a KO "resissue" of G1 Prime after my Screamer and Hot rod came in. $30 shipped with Trailer. Something tells me those might see a price increase on Ebay if no trailer is included with the official reissue.

 

Okay, what's the explanation for THIS costing $50. Parts count? Engineering?

 

They need to rerelease G1 Ratchet and Ironhide! I actually want this to happen.

 

It's interesting that they used the G1 Boxart on the box and the Japanese G1 art on the instruction booklet.

 

If they make the same amount of these as they did for Hot Rod then there will be many happy fans out there.

 

50 bucks!? Seriously!?. I paid 40 for the commemorative back in the early 2000s...

 

Well this can't have been much of a surprise to any one as we had to know that once these reissues began there was a high likelihood of Optimus Prime showing up. The lack of a trailer is disappointing as is the price point . $50 seems high. If it had the trailer than it would be spot on I should think.

My thinking is the trailer and its components got the energon axe to keep costs down and improve the profit margin. That said I am sure it would not be too hard to track down a loose G1 OP trailer and roller on ebay. Some of the smaller bits like the hose, missiles and fuel pump handle could more problematic. I have the 25th anniversary reissue and I am happy with it and though this reissue has some improvements I will pass on it unless I can get really cheap.

 

Too bad it didn't come with Roller.

I hate that people are calling the trailer a giant empty box, when the trailer has a lot of playability to it, with the repair drone and the Roller.

 

You are asking for a Masterpiece toy G1 Optimus. Because that's what MOTUC is, essentially a Masterpiece version of original MOTU figures and characters (only nowhere near actually MP quality, because Mattel). This is so far beyond the scope of this reissue that I have no idea why you are posting this request in this thread.
