Hopefully the obvious stylization doesn't result in too organic-looking legs, I always liked the geometric look of Optimus Prime's Super Mode lower body in the anime

They may not be MBJ-02 and 03 but I would expect Armada Jetfire and Armada Overload to be early in this sub-line just for combined mode purposes.

FansHobby has a history of listening and making significant changes in figures so it may be worth letting them know your thoughts.

 

Impressed by the news, not by the teaser.

6 inch for combined mode I assume? So legends scale? That would be interesting.

 

Really exciting. Hopefully it's good. I don't really like the aesthetic choices of most all of FansHobby's stuff so I'm hoping this one is more to my taste because it seems they make good-quality figures.

I doubt it. If he's the "Junior" version, that'd imply to me that's the name for the smaller robot, so maybe they'll sell the trailer separately (or are just showing off and naming the separate, smaller robot to distinguish him).

 

Well I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. But then I do have a lot of legends too so ah he's still gonna be neat, I guess. sigh

Yeah, a bit disappointed it isn’t MP, but I can work with Legends. At the very least, there is some type of interest being shown in UT.

My mandarin is a little rusty , but main body 6” should be just the core bot?? instead of the combined form .

 

'Junior' refers to the line. What makes you think they'd release the trailer separately? Trailer is kinda integral to this toy...unless you're thinking of the deluxe version, then this could be a deluxe version of an MP release later on in their main MB line, which could imply this junior line is just that: junior versions of the big guys.

I don't know, main body could just as easily refer to the main combined form. But the picture doesn't really give me the impression that it's legends so you may be right.

 

Do we know for a fact that it's the name of the line though? Seems weird to put a giant Optimus Prime in a "Junior" line... That's why I thought it'd make more sense if the core robot was the "Junior" part, and the rest, well, wasn't Junior.

I wouldn't say the trailer is integral though - you could sell it separately for the alt mode and super mode. Granted, it'd make more sense to sell it together. But either way, my point was that they're clearly showing off the smaller robot as being 6 inches tall, not the whole figure in super mode with the trailer as legs etc.

Either way, I highly doubt FansHobby are suddenly going to start doing Legends-scale stuff, especially for designs that haven't even been touched by third-party companies before at all.

 

Never watched Armada but def interested to see how this turns out.
