if the price was 150 with just the ion blaster it would be awesome, I don't care about carly, spiker, roller, sparkplug, starscream,jetpack, batlle damaged, extra head. trailer,stand, or effect parts, even the energon axe he just use for one episode . I just want the main figure at an accesible price, they should have give us the choice one extra edition and one normal edition for random guys that are not rich

Hahaha, yeah! I immediately went to go rewatch it. I love the season 2 intro so much, its so dynamic, it has the Dinobots, Omega Supreme, the Insecticons swimming in lava! The character model for Optimus Prime is so spot on to what we're getting in toy form from MP-44. Its always a treat to see this intro again. I can see where you're coming from, transformation wise, but honestly the transformation occurs so quickly--I think you could have just as easily convinced me to see something else in there.

Canada. We're sitting at $600 even *before* shipping is added. And some other countries have said they're looking at closer $650 without shipping included. So that's where the price came from.

 

Iv been staring at these exact pics all day ! I’m a little mind boggled what’s going on here . I wonder if that gray piece ( in the colored pics ) has side flaps that come out to house the Matrix ? And if that’s the case ( which I hope not ) can the Matrix be in him during the transformation ? Also , I’m a little saddened there’s no paint in there . Just a gray chamber .

 

Ha yes, it's probably just the combination of him standing up while moving forward that's creating that illusion to me. But I can't unsee it now! Agree about the awesomeness of this intro, it's Toei in total virtuoso showoff mode. It's so sad to go from this to the S3 AKOM intro, which shows how much pride Toei must have put into their work if Sunbow only required the AKOM-level garbage (or they just got paid more, ha).

Man I hope you're right about that faceplate! Fingers crossed that it's not just a note explaining the different S1 shape!

Well, it depends who you talk to. Apparently some people found Sunstreaker incredibly difficult, and in many cases, didn't like transforming Megs so much that they just don't even bother anymore. None of theses "it's easy" claims are universal facts or anything - all just opinions dependent on the person.

Either way, I'll be curious to see how 'easy" this new Prime ends up being.

 

I’m pretty sure that black toon accurate matrix door in the middle, same thing we see through the windows in the proto pics, is just gonna open upwards just like the toon and have the matrix inside. Nothing boggling to me!  

I only have two things to add...

1. Still not sure if the matrix will be same as MP-10 or had to be scaled down slightly to fit - looks pretty squeezed in there that chamber does.

2. I really hope the final product has a bit more paint in there - like at the very least that circle on his left side of the door. All black would be a shame. I do like they got the grey internals round the edges of the chamber though.

 

Sunny's was hard, but it became really easy and enjoyable with time.

The fact that it all fits just perfect and neat, you can't really tell there's a robot in there if you look underneath!

These transformations are really just the icing on the cake for me. I absolutely love them.

But yeah, different strokes.....

Luckily for me, TT is doing exactly what I have always wanted.

 

Why it can't come out any sooner.

It looks better with each new page just like MP36 but this one looks almost perfect, there's no competition IMO, i just hope someone leaks the HQ scans for my unnecessary digibashes.
