I think the battle damage looks fine personally. For me is does not turn me off from this line at all. I was surprised to see how many people were complaining about it to be honest.

thanks for the link. I was just going to come here and comment that leg/thigh wouldn't tab in properly in tank mode.

I like the battle damage quite a bit. Flywheels' is minimal, but what is there is well done.

This is a really good transformer.

So I've noticed sings of stress marks on Skytread after a few transformations. Particularly where you put the tank turret gun when you transform him into his vehicle modes.

I know I haven't been putting any major pressure on that part when I transformed him.

Just thought I'd pass it along though to others to be aware.

I just received my Skytread from HTS, and he's mostly free from issues.

I have none of the reported problems with the guns, no stress marks from transformation or in any of the 5mm holes, no glued hip joint, and surprisingly, all of the hinged panels work properly and connect (more or less) securely. I'm not a big fan of the half-assed way the arms angle and attach to the underside of the jet. I think they could have done a better job hiding the arms, but at least mine holds together, which is more than I can say for most HasTak TFs I've bought in recent years. I would say this is refreshing, except that the hip areas mentioned previously are still mismolded, causing the hinged panels to pop back open. I did have to do the carving in order to make it close correctly.

The paint and tampos are all nicely done on my figure, no crooked faction symbols or gross overspray. It would have been nice if they had offered some sort of provision for connecting the jet to the top of the tank, or for accommodating the Skytread Titan Master, but it's not too terrible provided you get one without serious problems and overlook the mandatory surgery you have to perform. 3/5

A number of people have reported that issue (it's an excess of glue in the hip joint), and I don't think anyone's found a way to fix it. You should just try to exchange it or get a refund wherever you bought it from.

Same here, but mine also has a large stress mark on the underside of the right wing.

This guy is amazing. For $20...It is basically an "MP" Flywheels, until anyone comes up with something better. I mean...he doesnt have articulated wrists or fingers, or landing gear, or some other "MP" qualities, I get it. But...it is rock solid. I can hold any arm or leg and fling him around and nothing moves. He has great articulation. Everything tabs together snugly. Paint and details are well done. In bit mode I think he looks the part. I am actually really impressed with a Hasbro figure for the 1st time in a long time... IMG_20181209_215253.jpg

I think we can all agree that if the Weaponizer C.O.M.B.A.T. gimmick is good for nothing else it at least gives us some tight joints on this line, ha ha

(that being said I love the gimmick and the figures themselves don't feel less for lack of it, unlike other line-specific gimmicks)

I got this guy at Target last night. It appears I have the opposite problem that a lot of other people are experiencing. The first time while trying to transform into tank mode, the robot crotch piece went flying off.

There was not enough glue holding it in place.

It sits in place very loosely, and falls of constantly while posing the figure in robot mode, and practically won't stay on at all in tank mode. I'm going to need to get some glue and re-glue it myself. Hopefully I don't accidentally put too much on and glue the hip socket like so many in the factory did.

One of the youtube popular reviewers (forget which) had that crotch piece fall off and had to re-glue it as well. Way better than having the hip joint glued at least. You will probably have no issues messing up the hip if you are careful when you glue it back on.

I was honestly nervous when I heard people's reports about his glued hip issue but I can safely say mine is absolutely fine. My only real issue is it feels like the connection between the shirt and pants are a bit loose but its fine. Man who would of guessed that 2018 would give us updated Duocons? And they are perfect.

On mine the connection between shirt and pants is so tight that I thought it was glued together when I got it. >__<

Yeah I have to pull pretty hard to get mine to separate too. Strange how some are super tight and others are loose.

finally opened up this fellow from HTS. no QC issues so far, yay!

pretty solid figure for $8, but man i'd be irritated if i paid $20 for this.

Do love the lack of individual bot modes like Battletrap and how much more solid and better proportions overall he is because of it.

Articulation is nice, and paint apps, while fairly minimal are well executed.

but he is sure small and simple, and without the legs seems like they could have done something better with the arms in jet mode.

a hinge on the tail so it could flip up against his back and not interfere with he waist articulation would be nice too.

    overall, for $8 i'll give him a B+

    for $20, i'd give him a C-

Got him from Amazon and as the first Siege figure I've opened I have to say I am very pleased. Mine has zero issues and everything seems to tab in securely but didn't want to overdo it with the tank cannon/turret.

To be quite honest, I'm glad Hasbro went back on Flywheels...Skytread...having just one bot mode and two vehicles in the true spirit of the G1 Duocons. POTP Battletrap is not completely bad but making each vehicle a separate bot too was overkill IMO. Each half was pretty complicated and the vehicle modes are suffered a bit (especially the helicopter). Skytread is simple and there is kibble but everything holds together a bit better than his counterpart. I would like to see Has Tak go back and redo Battletrap in this manner...someday.

Even paying $20 (and the fact mine didn't have issues), I'd give it a solid 4.5/5
