I mean critically. DotM wasn't considered abhorrent, and many critics thought the series might get better compared to 2. We all know how that turned out, lol.

Fair enough. I just feel like the franchise really died after 3, and everyone knew it. The 1B that AoE made was just lipstick on a pig, so to speak.

The high scores are warranted, and come from early screening viewers, who it's safe to say are actually going to put a bit more care into analyzing them.

Prolly not. Most movies on RT tend to only go up or down by about 3-10 points from the first score. The biggest drop I've seen was Infinity War which dropped from 90 to 76 but rebounded to 84. If we look at Teen Titans Go to the Movies, it only dropped 9 points to a 91. The last two movies dropped about 2 points.each while Black Panther dropped 3 points. All in all I think Bumblebee will stay in the 90s or high 80s. Nothing less then that.

 

Well looks like I might see this one. However, I am more offended that the '86 movie is below the first Bayformer film!

Transformers is a little more complicated to sell tickets and be a decent movie.

I started off when I first heard about this movie not the least bit interested in seeing it. I'm not much interested in Bumblebee. But the more I have heard and seen, I think I've pretty much changed my mind and going to go see it at least once.
