It's so nice when Transformers get their own posters. And those look pretty neat for Shatter and Dropkick.
I really don't like these character designs. They're just not growing on me like I thought they might. Maybe after I've seen the movie I'll feel different. Normally with strong character design, just looking at it I get more of a sense of who they are, or even just a sense that there's something there. These don't really convey anything.
New Bumblebee International Posters Reveal Dropkick and Shatter Pretty sweet! remember anything like this for the other movies?!
Last time I remember a Decepticon poster was back when Shockwave was being touted as the big bad of DOTM. I guess the Lockdown teaser poster for AOE counts too. Oh, right, there was that Megatron character poster too for TLK. Meh.
Still kinda odd to me that given the fact Dropkick's car mode kibble is more prominent, they made the SS figure turn into a helicopter that doesn't resemble the character model in any way save the head. I can only guess they didn't want to do two toys of the film's main villains that both turn into land vehicles.
Honestly I think we'll get 2 toys of each character for each alt mode. So right now we're getting copter Dropkick and car Shatter, and then maybe sometime late next year we will get car Dropkick and jet Shatter. It's just too complex for them to try and achieve both vehicles and also a robot mode for these designs as physical working toys within the current budget and design guidelines of the studio series line.
I think it's pretty clear at this point, that the guy doing all the marketing posters, can't tell an F-4 from a Harrier. There's been "a bright red F-4" more times than not, associated with Shatter. In fact, have we ever seen her near a Harrier, in any marketing stuff?
I really like the look of Dropkick and Shatter although i do prefer the car modes to the flight modes . I cant wait to see them in action on Sunday .
I really think that they could have actual triple changing toys if they were voyagers. Like SS Blackout rules: A deluxe sized robot with voyager sized vehicle modes. I think HasTak could pull it off if they tried? Maybe?
