Has anyone else's $60 TFDirect, THF Megs hit the states yet?

I haven't had an update since Nov 22nd saying it was processed through the Guangzhou Facility.

 

All I received was a shipping notice.

 

I'm in the UK, but my tracking gave me the same info as @TRANZ4MR and that was on 17/11. He arrived today so don't fret.

 

To make it toy accurate? Quite a lot actually. Here’s mine so far. Still have some more paint and stickers to add.

 

Received Magten yesterday. He’s very cool. Also transformed him, which was my first time transforming this mould. Oooofff, it’s not the easiest to transform is it? That bit with the front of the barrel trying to clip together was a nightmare. Took about 20 minutes of moving and massaging to get it sorted. The rest wasn’t too bad. Certainly easier than Apollyon. I had no paint chips or scrapes, though I don't really want to remove the supressor and see what I've done to the muzzle!
He's my alt mode Megs and the metallic silver works really well for that, more realistic look. Alos means I should never need to transform him again which is a bonus!
I have IT on my Opti/Megs shelf and THF in the mail as my MP bot mode copy. I'll be reallyinterested to see how they all compare.
So far the IT, Magten and my gold Chromed IT are pretty comparable in terms of solidity, QC and posability. I have to say, the KO's did an amazing job with this mould, and I honestly think this (like MP Tracks) is another case where the officilal just can't compete with the KO's.

 

Wow that dynasteon is an amazing deal ..any IT deals that is close? I like IT but THF is also good

 

I'm surprised that you're magten is comparable in quality to your IT. The magten I had was quite loose in places compared to my IT and had paint issues like fuzzies and dust in the finish.

 

I plan on replacing my Magten with the Tokyo Mall Exclusive. I just love how the paint makes it look like the old G1 Megatron.

...and he'll be my Definitive Megatron for me. (at least until some other version comes along that catches my eye) I'm honestly no longer buying KOs at this point. I'm finding they don't hold up as long. (But I guess it truly depends on whoever makes them, they are so hit or miss)

 

I already have the official and was planning on getting the Magten cause of the paint, anything wrong with the Magten?

 

I've had mine since release.

nothing really wrong near as i can see. Though when in Botmode, the back gun barrel on mine is kinda floppy in that there's no way to really peg it into place so it doesn't move around. (it can be compared to FansToys Rouge's Shoulder Pylon floppiness)

Other than that, it's a beautiful piece.

 

Hmmn. Paint seems fine. Only really floppy parts are the feet when you accordion them out for transformation. But they peg in solidly in both modes. Various bits and pieces are kinda loose in mid-transformation but it all pegs together nice and tight in both modes. The only thing that I really can’t get is the trigger guard - doesn’t want to clip together so you end up with a slight gap. But even then the hinge is tight enough it doesn’t flap around. I’m very impressed and it looks nice in gun mode. Can be held and “wielded” with ease and no worries about flopping apart. Pretty happy with it.

 

My IT Emperor of Destruction Megatron had a couple of minor QC issues which I have now resolved.

1) The moulding sprue injection points / burrs hadn't been trimmed flush in all places. This took a fair bit of time with a fresh exacto knife blade to resolve perfectly. It wasn't hard but to get it to a stage I was happy was delicate process. This is common to all of these and I don't think mine was any worse but I am fussy.

2) There were a few very small paint chips / misses on one of the faces on the side edge and a small amount of over spray black detailing on another. You could only see these if up really close. It took me a while to match the grey and in the end it was tamiya acrylic flat white and semi gloss black that achieved the closest colour and sheen. I then used a tooth pick tip to apply.

All in for £80 Inc the bonus cannon and Kremzeeks it's amazing. How far we have come since aplloyon.

 

Mine was tight. Only loose spot is the cannon on the hip.

Has anyone replaced their stock head and would be willing to sale it and some faces?

 

I may have overlooked this in here, but has anyone replaced the hands on the THF? I love the figure but I wish the fingers were fully articulated.

 

I’ve looked and not found any yet.

 

I would like to know if there is a way to do it too.

 

Wow. I picked up the THF version in Show Z's recent sale and I love it. I was pretty happy with Apollyon, but figured for $50 I'd give THF's a shot and am really glad I did. It was a little intimidating on the first transformation, but I've done it a bunch of times from memory now, it's so much fun. I converted Apollyon just for comparison and... yech.

There's a little worn paint on the two black panels inside his shoulders that are only visible in gun mode, and the tabs on his thighs don't hold quite as firmly as I'd like, but overall it's a fantastic piece.

So can I ask, is there like an online site in the US besides ebay that I can buy the IT-01? I have been looking around but I can't find any, i just don't want to endure the wait of it coming from china, the last figure I order took near two months. And there is no ebay seller that has it in the states currently apparently.
