Blitzwing's vice was also different from the trailers.

For being in the movie for only 2 minutes, I don't really care at the moment. But if they do, that's fine.

It's not that I really want a Blitzwing toy (though I kind of do) I mostly want a toy of that design because it's so cool and awesome looking, and Blitzwing would be the best conduit of which to produce said toy

"I stole a package of Mallomars once."
    "Yeah we know."

    That was a good one.

Am I hearing it right? It seems like a Camaro is better than a VW.

I just watched Bumblebee and I have to say that it really is the best Transformers movie. The Iron Giant inspiration is definitely there, and it works very well for the Bumblebee and Charlie dynamic. The opening scene is absolutely fantastic and many fans will be extremely pleased. I actually still prefer the 2007 movie (and the 1986 movie over that), but this movie is the best of at least all of the live action Transformers movies, moreso as a movie than as a Transformers movie, specifically. Still, a lot of moments in the movie do “Transformers” very well, and those moments alone make the movie worth watching. There are some things I didn’t quite like all too much about the movie, but I don’t want to get into spoilers until I find out how to do spoiler tags (can someone tell me how?) :D

So remind me again why fans wanted a VW Bumlebee and hated the Camaro one?

I was howling with laughter when Bumblebee started stomping on the roof of the car. In fact, the audience absolutely lost it.

I mean if we're talking about cars in general a Camaro is much better than a vw. Why fans prefer it I don't know

Again on Shatter (I'm such trash lmao), I love how she starts off being the cool, calm, collected brains to Dropkick's hotheaded brawns - to absolutely losing her shit when Charlie dismantles the...communicator (green thing??). That tells me that maybe in a way she's really passionate about her cause deep down and she was really banking on her plan to work. Perhaps there was more to the Decepticon cause than we think there is here. God, I'll never forget that scream when she was laying down the hate on Bee.

And her voice. It's just deceptively soothing like, that's how you do the whole "silk hiding steel" concept.

Props to Angela Bassett and her absolutely amazing acting chops. Bring on the Studio Series!!

I'm picturing 80's kid in a store in 1984 looking at all the Transformers toys saying "I want an entire movie devoted specifically to this 1 tiny little figure."

    Loved reading the reactions.
Did want to point this out real quick to help that along:
Cliffjumper's name and fate tie to Charlie's story and recovery.
Carry on. Love reading these reactions.

I actually thought it was a combo of charlie stealing the power source and bee killing dropkick.

    It was really very good!!

I'm into it! I'll happily recommend it to other fans/casual moviegoers (unlike the previous iterations which I would absorb as guilty curiosities and then try to distance myself from).

I thought the tone was sweet but not saccharine. The human drama was affirmational, the actors charming. I loved that the Charlie character calls her own shots/and lays out her own boundaries (to her family, to her friend/budding romantic interest).
It's a far cry from the overt sexual objectification that was par for the course in the Bay films.

I'm really refreshed by the style of the film. I could eagerly dip in again with another installment from Knight, but would also love to see Hasbro / Paramount continue to pass the baton so we don't get stuck with one vision too long. Bay seemed at least enthusiastic when making the 2007 flick--I think with each subsequent installment he was just jadedly punching the buttons to spit out another cash generating machine. I'd hate to see Travis burn out on this franchise, as he's really given the fans a treat for this ride!

I'd secretly hoped this would deviate more specifically from the franchise as it stands--setting up a firm reboot--but as it stands currently we can have it both ways.

We do see a little teaser at the end that implies some action must be resolved before we can seamlessly integrate into the 2007 episode. Hopefully that writers room provided the future filmmaker(s) some scaffolding to build on and this positive change isn't a one trick pony.

I don't think she noticed him killing Dropkick, though. Just that she was preoccupied with taking care of Bee (who shot the tower again?) and then noticing Charlie taking out the power source.

I guess people would rather have a Travis Knight Transformer movie instead of a Michael Bay Transformer movie.
