Between the Tak KO or Cloud 9, Cloud 9 all day. VERY solid figure, lots of fun, and looks amazing. The Tak was iffy in official form. The KO is it's own mess.

 

I got the TT first, and while I think its just fine, I really wish I knew about Quakeblast before I did get it, because it was cheaper and I like the look better:

Plus I hate that you had to buy an aftermarket kit just to get a glowing eye. I mean, I know some people hate LED gimmicks, but if any character should have a glowing eye, its Shockwave.

But yeah, to me Shockwave should be Megatron's size or bigger. He's just way too small compared to MP-36:


Like he barely even comes up to Meg's shoulders, and that's just wrong to me.

If I had to do it all over again, Quakeblast all the way. Plus, I'm always wary of KOs unless I hear reviews say its better than the original, like the MP36 KOs. Perhaps if it was the official for that price, then maybe, because that would be an incredible deal. But a purple Quakeblast for that price is also a really good deal since they don't even sell that color anymore.

 

TTs and its KO are pieces of crap on every category.

Cloud9 is a great quality piece.

 

I have both, both are solid. I use the KO as my CHUG 3p Shockwave and the C9 as my Marvel MP SW. It entirely depends on how you see him, cartoon or Comic. If you're going MP the official KO looks like a pastel pussy next to MP Decepticons. If you want an MP Shockwave who looks formidable it's the C9 no question. He's honestly much more robust in build quality aswell.

 

Cloud 9 all day! The TT KO is one of the worse KO bots I have. C9 is solid while the KO feels cheap.

 

I have a toon MP decepticon team I'm building and I went for C9 hands down even though he's not as toon as the rest. Let's face it though - Soundwave could be classed as not toon enough as he's got silver on him instead of animation white (which I assume TT will releaae as some point).

 

cloud 9 QB, it is mostly personal aesthetics...I'm old and whatnot and not one of the many that subscribe to the "cartoon accurate" or "toy accurate" crowd. I buy things that look good and cost great. Meaning it's a bargain for what it is, not that it is overpriced  

 

I bought Cloud 9 Quake Blast and never regretted it. I love it! I prefer it over the official and even Fans Toys Quake Wave (and that Quake Wave IS pretty dang good, too!). I prefer the aesthetics, the color, and the height.

Just be very careful with this left cannon hand, as it can break. It's not cheap or bad plastic, it's because it is long and thin. Transforming it to gun mode and putting on the front cover. Be very, very careful with that. Some have carved out the inside of the solid gun cover to make the passage larger. Also, the tubes can be hard to put in the arm and backpack. I don't really care and just never bothered to put it on.

I know nothing about the KO. And I am sort of suspicious of the prices being that low for both of these. I paid around $74 USD shipped for my Cloud9.

 

Thanks for the advice all. I went with Cloud 9 mainly due to its size. However, ill eventually go back and get the tt ko, because i do like its look as well.

 

Cloud 9 - No contest. This thing is a big, heavy, chunky, menacing beast of a Shockwave. Easily in the top 5 favorites of my collection - I tell you what, he even looks like he could eff up a few of my FT Dinobots!!!
TT's feels and looks straight up whimpy by comparrison. But I guess it's more toon accurate so...
