Just called them, the lady said they should be coming in within the month! Hopefully that’s accurate!

Yep! It could always be inaccurate but here’s hoping. I need these guys and nobody is selling them. Not even second hand.

The KFC version of Reflector is awesome. It's pretty good QC and alot of fun - plus have much more attitude than the Fanstoys or MT versions IMO.

The only reflector that I kind of feel gives the KFC a run for it's money in the 'fun' department is the original Perfect Effect mini Reflector. Totally not the same thing, but that tiny tiny set had so much fun packed in, it's totally worth looking into if you haven't checked them out. I've got the new OS KO Papa toys version (which is kinda like a supersized version but with all the same bells and whistles) for less than $40 shipped and I think MechFanToys is also rolling out a version of it's own.

Not sure what took them so long or why they jump on the same project/same characters/same product all at the same time...

After a lot of deliberation I decided to give up on trying to pick up a second hand set of FT's Spotter and placed an order for the Opticlones at TFS-E. They are only £85 (well, £90 with shipping) so much better value than Spotter would be at aftermarket prices. I watched a lot of reviews of all three sets (those and the Maketoys Visualizers) and there are things I like about all of them. Truthfully I think the best representation of the character is probably a combination of all three, but there you go...

For me the KFC set are probably half a head too tall going by the scale chart, but that's not too bad really. The ensemble pic a page or so back made me feel better, as they seem to come up just under Soundwave's chest insignia and around the height of Starscreams intakes, which is about right. I like the head and face sculpts, the grey arms and white legs are toon accurate, the camera looks to be the closest match to the animation model, I don't even mid the backpacks and The varied energon cubes are also a nice touch.

I'm not so fond of the blue they used for the shins, although I do appreciate that they included that detail. The collars aren't show accurate, but I like that they're an homage to the original toy and they look okay. It's fitting that the lead bot has a slightly different design in that area as well. I also wish that the green chest pieces were slightly darker instead of that lime colour. I'm not really a fan of light up stuff, particularly when it sacrifices show accuracy, so I'd have preferred the robot mode shutter to look like it does in the camera mode rather than be the green light-up thing with the transparent cover. Also, I don't get why they made the camera really show accurate but made the lens attachment black. Well, I do, as it transforms into a weapon, but I'd have preferred that they'd have made it accurate and included separate weapons.

That said, I still think that it's a good representation of Reflector. I never really had any affinity for the character, but my 'Cons are seriously outnumbered so they could use some backup. Hopefully he'll be released sooner rather than later.

Just got one of these online for a great price MIB never transformed. Pretty happy but the flash peg wouldn’t come out and ended up breaking. The peg is still stuck in there. And I mean stuck. I can seem to get the peg out. If anyone has an idea for a mod or a fix. I don’t care if I can’t get the peg out. As long as I can find a way to make the flash stay in camera mode without super glue.

I think I've officially been waiting a full year for BBTS to get the reissue of this guy. Should I just give up waiting at this point?

I'm glad I spent more and got the FT version when I had the opportunity, as the KFC set doesn't even have a release date on the site I had it ordered on now. Same goes for Crash Hog...

Maybe try emailing BBTS to find out when they expect to have it in stock.

    Hey fellow boardies,
I let one of my friends transform these guys and they messed up the feet on one of them.
Does anyone know of a way to get the foot flap out?

As shown at the 13:10 minute mark. You can use a flat head screw driver or similar tool to press against the back side of the hinge on the flap. But I don't know if this technique will work if the flap is all the way buried inside the foot. Failing that, a quick search through this thread mentions popping the pin out on the toe to get better access to the flap, which sounds like a complete nightmare.

Thank you, I'll give that a try when I get home.

I literally waited an entire year for the reissue to happen by watching BBTS pre-order listing of the reissue. I know it's not their fault, but watching the ETA on the listing jump to the new quarter of the year ever 3 months was just too disheartening. I finally broke down and bought Visualizer at the end of last month. Am expecting it to arrive any day now.

So this reissue is confirmed by someone at KFC happening, or it is wishfull thinking? Or some store just putting a preorder up?

I am really digging these guys and would be more willing not to pay scalper pricing.
