The designs look really awesome! Also in the featurette, am I the only one who saw Shatter break Bee\'s arm off?

 

Shatter's early name was Fracture? Wait... wasn't Fracture a female Decepticon before who also was partners with Dropkick and Incinerator?

 

Oh come on, unless you specifically came to a place like this to find out Drift was *apparently* a triple changer, it's never actually once shown in the movie itself and most people to this day have no idea that "Generic Samurai Bot" turned into BOTH of those things. One second he's jumping off a cliff and turns into a helicopter, then all of a sudden there's an extra blue & black car racing along with the other Autobots, and no scenes showing that car turn into a robot, let alone HIM. He just sort of shows up in bot mode with everyone else.

 

Fucking bad ass.

 

The first time triple changers were in a live action movie huh? So I was hallucinating when I saw Drift in Age of Extinction turn into a helicopter and a car?

I clearly noticed that Drift had 2 alt modes in AOE, as did countless fans who discussed it here on the TFW boards, and they even had a Helicopter version of his figure. I think he turned into a helicopter later in the movie too, not just that one scene near the beginning.
Just because Bay didn't make a big deal about it means nothing, because Bay skimmed over lots of things that should have been given more attention or explanation, like deaths of major characters and how it affected other characters, and even entire characters existence like Jolt.

 

I still wish there was a studio series toy of car mode Dropkick.

 

Not quite. In the scene where Bumblebee and Drift break into KSI, you can see him going from car to robot to copter. I even remember a little kid commenting on it upon leaving the theater when the movie came out.

But why did they show shatter’s earth mode and dropkick’s cybertronian mode?

 

To each their own, but WHY exactly does Shatter in particular piss you off?...

Isn't Mixmaster the real first triple changer. But yeah Shatter and Dropkick is using the triple change thing way better and are also way better as Decepticons.

(Putting on my sci-fi goggles) I’d assume an aircraft is moving pretty quickly when it’s dropping to the ground, so changing to a car would have to happen quickly. And they are driving pretty fast when they change into their robot forms and do that tumbling motion towards S7. You can see Dropkick’s legs form out of the front of the car I noticed. Still seems to be on par with the good transformations we’ve gotten in the past, and better than most of them altogether. I still don’t get the argument....this film seems to be checking all the boxes here. I’m sure there will be lots of delicious transformations. Have you not seen the amazing Blitzwing transformation that’s in darn near every trailer? This is the same film, don’t let one quick scene from the film deter you. Michael Bay is done, I can understand some trepidation...but this is a new team.

 

I didn't realize so many people would be defending a character who triple changed for a maximum of two times and who Bay forgot he even had that ability in the last act of the film or the sequel.

 

Wait why? They look like the best movie cons so far IMO
