Apart from them taking your money upfront which I don't mind but most people do, it actually seems like the best option for us in the UK. Even it were to be hit by customs it would still be cheaper than what most are offering! I will be placing my pre-order very soon.

How much is it in total from them with the shipping included ? I couldn’t seem to find a way to get the sum total.

If it’s much much better than NY I may cancel and jump on AE at some point. Just find it kinda hard to pay for something now that’s sooo far away

AE wait until the product is in stock before they charge/set shipping prices, MP-10 came up to 6200 yen some three years ago, 43 pounds....I'll go on a limb and hope that this guy's postage doesn't come up to more than 60 pounds as his box can't be that much bigger/heavier. I hope! If that is the case he should be just over 300 pounds and if he were even to get hit by customs, which I can't see being more than 30 pounds he still works out to be less or just as good as the other options. I know it's a lot of 'ifs' but AE haven't let me down so far, so we'll see!?

    Amazing figure!

But what is a perfectly rational thing to say concerning paying ANYTHING over $200 for this figure? ESPECIALLY concerning Canadian buyers like myself?

I remember now! Takara, go jump in the lake -and take your $449USD rubix cube with you. (That's $600 DOLLARS CANADIAN, now imagine that with shipping & handling + import fees stacked on top!)

Yeah I'm aware of sites knocking 30% off the original price but that's still nowhere near worth it. Not even close. I hate to say it but I'm passing on this and I can only look on in disdain as Takara will undoubtedly continue these greedy practices until the well runs dry.

Yeah, the windows should function like Sunstreaker's chest. They flip open, and rotate around to change the shape/details. The central frame/column is removed and the windows push together to create the angled robot mode chest.

I'm pretty sure you can make out the shapes of the robot window frames from behind the truck ones.

I think I'll order a second copy through Nippon Yasan, choose the pay later option, and go with the cheapest shipping option.

That brings me to a total of 36,850 Yen shipped to Ireland (slow boat, 90-120 days). €287 / £256

EMS would be 41600 Yen shipped, which is €324 / £290. Likely to be similar to Anime Export.

Hopefully that can be helpful for folks in the EU or UK, as Nippon Yasan and Anime Export are the two options where you might be able to escape customs.

Obviously 90-120 days is crazy long to wait if it's your only copy, I wanted a second copy and this is the cheapest possible price it will ever be (unless the Yen drops massively).

Who here agrees with me that @Sam is the best contributor on these MP Threads? and because of that, I’d like to propose (for those that want to) that we all go in on buying Sam’s second copy for him! I know I will contribute - and if a bunch of us did - we could come up with the $$$ and send it to his PayPal as a showing of our gratitude for all his wonderful contributions over time from start to finish of these amazing MP releases!

Just a thought! and regardless of what happens - a big thank you to @Sam for your part in the TFW2005 play !

Voicing my opinion isn't as toxic as not letting people discuss and compare different toys. Its not upsetting what people choose to spend money on. If you like it, power to you, But we should have the freedom to criticize products as well.

I'm Canadian and PO'd at AJ. With current exchange, this OP v3 will cost around $475 CAD total give or take (including shipping and import fees). I agree that the price is a bit steep but hobbies are never cheap.

Best thing with AJ is their PO Price Guarantee. If it is ever listed at a lower value at any time up to release, they will honor the lowest price listed.

I like the look of the figure and backpack doesn't seem to bother me that much. LOL

Hah, you're too kind. I think it's just a sign that I have way too much time on my hands these days (started working from home full-time in a new job). There's too many active members on these boards contributing in positive ways to all sorts of threads that I in no way deserve to be singled out! I'll shoot down this idea right now :lol

Just save your dollars for your own MP-44 - no doubt we all need all the help we can get :thumb

Man oh man, is it August yet?
