So you've looked at all the pictures and still think she's a combiner limb?

don't worry, when his shins break off you'll just have the special edition "cotton hill" prowl.

Prowl was a figure I looked forward to but this.. I can't decide , I think he looks out of place in this line. he is way too streamlined where everyone else is just blocky-bricky. Otherwise, I always wanted a cool prowl with bluestreak.

I think My favourite autobot of this line is gonna be ironhide (and ratchet). especially if he really is as tall as he looks in the pics from tokio comiccon. (If I'm not mistaken he is a head taller than hound)

And that soundwave is loong overdue. I will buy it and every casette that comes out for it.

It actually reminds me of a certain dropship a lot

It would be nice to see a blaster from this mold, espacially when both the guardian and the cassettes looks so cool. but I dunno if we will get one since there are so many voyagers already. But on the other hand, it is so unlike Hasbro to use a mold only once. fingers crossed.

The definition I was going by. Although, the new PC term is shared tooling?

No, Siege Chromia uses shared engineering. There are no common parts.

Hands, thighs and tires all look the same to me.
You call it what you want. Someone took the Moonracer design and added greebles and redesigned the upper body and legs. They have the same bot mode. They have the same alt-mode. The only differences is gimmickry. Moonracer has combiner baggage and Chromia has greebles and weathering.

Sure, but that's not what retooling is. Retooling is a measure to utilize a previous mold to save money on tooling with alternate parts. Chromia's case is a matter of reused engineering and CAD model, which means it's saving a bit of time on her design proccess, but still utilizes brand new tooling that cost the same as any other brand new steel mold would.

It looks terrible either way, Moonracer was already bad but passeable thanks to having the "well she has to combine" excuse. This Chromia is just gross.

According to the very first paragraph of the definition of retool at tfwiki, that is exactly what retooling is. It's extensive, but I believe it still fits the criteria.

Same, bud. I was looking forward to him, honestly, as the Classics Prowl had so many issues that I was in need of another Generations-scale Prowl.

But transparent legs... With how tight the joints have been on the first wave (no doubt to support the Weaponizers), I could easily foresee stressmarks and cracks right out of the package. Unless they get clever with the engineering for this fig anyway. But I don't see many ways around the "this plastic is brittle and doesn't take stress well" problem.

I'm just glad the scratches on the chest window are tamps and not molded in. The prototypes confirm that.

As for Prowl, never liked how he looked when the CAD models were shown. Now I'm even more convinced with the legs being entirely clear plastic. Yikes.
