I'm more outraged they retooled the combiner stuff out and yet she still has the backpack and leg kibble.
Maybe Select Series will recolor Moonracer and use Chromia's new head. We are getting a Greenlight after all.

 

Have any of the other Siege figures had light piping? It certainly looks like Soundwave does.

 

Soundwave and Prowl look awesome! They are definite buys!

The little guys are definite buys because I like targetmasters in any form.

Chromia is a maybe because I like the comic aesthetic one we already got and without the combiner gimmick, this retool just isn't worth getting a new one.

 

I really wish they made an "unofficial" mode for Soundwave that looks like either a lamp post or a cassette player

 

In their NYCC diorama they showed a lamppost mode and they confirmed in the coverage that it has the articulation to emulate a tape deck mode.

Is it just me or does soundwave's alt mode look like the love child of G1 Sixshot and a dwarf.

 

That is ridiculously specific. Why would anyone else but the person saying that also think that?

The way I’m reading that comment is that they accept the new alt mode but wish they could have squeezed an unofficial cassette player mode in there too. Seems like a reasonable wish to me.

 

The way I read it, it's more like: "This Soundwave has a weird, dumb looking altmode."

I'm the first to defend artistic choice, but let's face it. Siege Soundwave looks like a Kleenex box with warp nacelles.


It is kinda stupid looking, especially with that weensy cockpit. I'll buy it all the same, but I'd be lying if I said I thought this was a particularly sexy spaceship design.

Looks like the new Seeker mold has light piping too. Certainly it is visible on Starscream convention photos.


Prowl looks OK to me... But I wish they were using less clear plastic. Those shins and knees look scary.


Chromia... I suppose it's OK? Still getting her because I need G1 Chromia and I can't see tons of other figures of her incoming.

 

That came from Hasbro, so clearly it's getting ignore until Takara shows a photo of it, since only Takara can think of doing that.

 

I need a G1 Chromia so she is a must have . I also need a blocky tape decky Soundwave so although the alt mode is different I will still buy him if I see him .

I am not sure why but I have never really liked Prowl so he is a pass for me .

I would like the micromasters too .
