The coneheads really look fantastic in bot mode (From the front) and are stunning in Jet mode. However I really advise buying only if you can get z hefty discount. Though they look fantastic when you hold them in your hands they don't feel value for money and QC can be really hit and miss.

Grossly overpriced. The high quality Yes Model KOs are a much better value.

    Correct.

Given the qc issues/looseness and the hefty initial asking price (overpriced IMO) I couldn't bring myself to get them.

BBTS current sale price of $99 + shipping isn't too bad seeing as how they were selling them for $180 + shipping initially. You just have to determine if that price is low enough to justify the looseness and qc issues which apparently are still present.

That is a damn good price. Still, I have made up my mind and will wait for the inevitable V3 of the Seeker Mold.

I hope TT revist Thrust again in the MP line. Maybe more G1 toy accurate as an MP-11NT+ excuse, but with a small cone swap-out to retain the cartoon accuracy with this one. As MP-36+ accomplishes with animation faces included with MP-36.

Can you imagine the Coneheads in the new MP-52 mold? I hope TT goes that route.

If they think they can sell them, they will. I'm not sure they think they can sell them though, but I'd be happy to be wrong. While I still love mine, obviously they are decently flawed in some ways.

Obviously, that's more animation accurate, but Thrust didn't have as much screentime, did he? That might affect salabaility for a toy which might have been more popular for it's G1 toy aesthetic.

I know for me, I loved him among all seekers as a kid for having the VTOL feature. That was purely a toy preference. In hindsight, Starscream was the one to have as a series fan, but I liked Thrust as a toy better, and considering MP-52 as a basis for a new MP Thrust...well, I'd buy it.

Thrust (and the other coneheads) had plenty enough screentime to warrant a toon style figure. He's no Skids.

I've no doubt we'll get some coneheads based on MP-52, only question is how extensively they'll retool the mold. Hopefully it's a lot, since I'll be dumping another $700-800 into the set and I want that extra accuracy and variety.
