I think the best fix for this guy was the one where someone said use fishing line. It won't degrade like a rubberband and it's clear. Probably do the best job.

Did the guy who mentioned that fix state how much wire you had to wrap around the waist with? Like a few go-arounds or is something more substantial req.?

I don't recall but I think he said just a couple go arounds and you'd feel it firm up. Then just put a knot in the ends and pull it snug around the rivet and cut the ends. Worst case scenario, you do it and you don't think it's enough, you could just do it again with another layer over the last you know? You'd get the same result either way. :)

Hey-ho Thrust fans, I've uploaded a video detailing how I used plastic spacers to fix the wobbly hip issue.
    Hope this helps.....

Bought some custom MP Thrust stickers.

    Labels for MP Thrust

Looks good. I only applied the jet ones. Didn't apply and robot ones because I thought in robot mode he looked fine. :D

Not usually a sticker guy, but these look pretty sweet.

Thrust was one of my very fav G1 toys and this brings back lots of feels.

Sorry to necro the thread, but I regret to report the utter mess of floppy joints everywhere that is my copy of MP Thrust. Just about every major bot joint has some degree of slop, and I'm not really in the mood to fix a poorly chosen torso rivet. This is disappointing, because after MP Skywarp and Thundercracker, which were brilliant, I'm miffed that even Hasbro's Acid Storm and Sunstorm were better bots.

There’s multiple fixes for this figure , or just use some future on all your swivel joints and ball joints . Or if you just don’t want to deal with him at all , put his ass up on eBay .

Yes, I know of the fixes. At this point in time, I'd have to essentially take him down to parts to get him to the some tolerances that SW and TC have. I just don't have that time at the moment, and I was a little huffy about it yesterday. I'm fine with it now.

I'm not going to subject someone else to the QC nightmare that is this guy. When I get some time I'll fix him up. Right now, he's literally balanced on the two solid joints in his body (the knees) standing up.

MP Thrust on sale at BBTS for $99 plus shipping. I guess sometimes it pays to wait.
    Transformers Masterpiece MP-11NT Thrust

Any idea if the hip/looseness issues have been corrected in the newer copies?
Is this worth picking up even with the discount?

    Also on sale at Kapow:

BLACK FRIDAY - Transformers Masterpiece MP-11NT Thrust - Featured Items - Kapow Toys

I got him a few weeks ago when he was £79.99. Definitely worth it, don't think any looseness was ever corrected though. I've owned MP-11, 11S, 11T 11SW and 11NR, and Thrust is my favourite. Love the head sculpt, the toon accurate details, and the super interesting wing design. The red they chose is gorgeous, too. Not the most fun to pose, but looks fantastic on a shelf flanking MP-36.

You're right. Looks like BBTS is also offering Dirge and Ramjet for the same price.

bought all three myself, was tempted when they were 130, but for a 100 a pop, hell yeah... savings pretty much paid for the Powercon 2017 set.

Got mine from the sale today, and he's as loose as ever. But $99 is a lot better of a price.

Not a good sign really , they didn't sell well in Japan. I think TTMall had a sale last week where they were just about half off 7900 yen. I hope it was more people were fed up with molds and qc of the coneheads vs no interest in the characters.

Considering I paid like $250 for all the TTMall exclusive seekers (including shipping and customs which killed me), $99 is a fucking incredible deal.

I think the smaller limited run would have taken care of the low interest in the coneheads, but the reported QCs and the initial asking price just killed a lot of the remaining interest.

I'll probably pick up Dirge sometime to finish the set, but for me it will be the last time I buy MP-11 anything.
