Optimus V3 is a figure I never had any intention of getting but Takara's greed sucks for those that are intrested in it.

What’s strange is I *think* in the IDW reprints it’s still Branson. I swear I was just reading that issue on the plane last week

Can't wait for studio series Sqweeks. Gonna be all of 1cm tall, so pretty much Shopkins size. No doubt he will be packaged as a deluxe and charged at £22.99 though.

Ordered my BSB Black Mamba OS Studio Grimlock tonight.

Also ordered a few more of the studio series (thundercracker, ironhide, blackout etc) so think that bar DoTM Ratchet, I will be fully up to date on waves. Not bad for a few days effort.

It defo is still Branson in Classics UK 5. In fact, I did the scans for that, so the one in the IDW collection is actually exactly the same comic I took a photo of in my tweet.

Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally starting to notice the negative side of the other side of TF fandom lately, as well as the Geewunners too. Now I remember why I usually avoid fandom like the plague.

And typically Classics has now been binned! Brilliant!
I might just have to source the volumes we did get of it.

Worth it for the background info and interviews Roberts did. I'm not a fan of the actual story reprints, way too small. Hopefully the books will get finished at some point, have to wait and see.

    :)
    Good evening all!

    How's it hanging?

I am still wallowing in Combiner Wars! I really should play catch up what with all these fancy PotP and now Seige figures clogging up Etailers, but you never hurry a Murray so I shall plod along regardless! :p

    Nice! He looks lovely bud!
I have a Deluxe sized Stormtrooper head in my parts bin which I wanted to body-up on a Transformer but still not got around to it yet. :)

I've been fiddling around with part swapping and pin removal (aarrgh!) over the last couple of weeks with Combiner Wars figures which is providing some pleasing results overall.
CW Prowl is the latest for the chop shop who is now looking more like Rook whilst CW Rook is, well, more like Prowl! LOL!
Now I think I need to order yet another CW Swindle for surgery. Again! :D

Reached a point where I may need to invest in a soldering iron as some of the knees on my not so secret combiner I'm working on have those round flat headed pins which I need to pop out so I can finish the part swap. No Titan sized combiners in my house, no Sir! :p

Ooh, I'm still on the look out for a Classics Jetfire helmet if anyone has one kicking about? ;)

Ah brilliant! The reprints were some of the first comics I digitally purchased and it was mainly for the extra material that showed off stuff like the old promotional items, free gifts, posters etc. For me the memory of seeing the issues in the shop for the first time is as nostalgic as actually reading them from cover to cover when I got them home.

Oddly I wasn’t a big fan of the TF comics as the kid (cartoon all the way) but I still bought them every week.

All Optimus Primes are equally awesome except for this one, who is the new best.

It looks like Arnie! Now imagine that. Transformers vs Terminator.

Also, I've been thinking about how pointless Studio Series Cogman is. It looks like a straight repaint but with even less gold detailing on the shoulders/other areas. Maybe the car mode silver will be...more silvery, but apart from that, and apart from those who missed him being able to get him, I can't really see the point.

This is... pretty bad. For a series purporting to be aiming to be the best complete series of TF comics they're not wanting to stick to the original too closely, what with this and weird colour changes etc.

Besides it looks a lot like Willem Defoe to me...

Studio Series Sqweeks? There is a small Sqweeks y'know, the Tomica die-cast sqweeks. He's about the same size as the BB-8 that came with Star Wars Black 6'' Rey.

    15433925561765947953227961825359.jpg

Speaking of which, you remember where I bought the normal SWB Rey with the Black Friday sales Rey with speeder for potential headswapping?

    15433928464155651678776319202485.jpg

Yup, it works, but it needed a bit of DIY first though. The normal fig and the Speeder Fig are quite different (normal Rey has moulded cloth bits, Speeder Rey has actual cloth so it doesn't hinder her articulation so she can sit in the speeder properly) but the neck assembly is the same for both.

The heads were SUPER tight, so I had to steam them to make them pliable enough to pop off, then attacked the small head socket (ooer) with a 6mm and 7mm drill bit, thus widening the hole big enough so they're now swappable!

Add in the bits normal Rey has that speeder doesn't (BB-8 and a Lightsaber) and now I have a pretty good SW:TFA Rey! Hrm. No tiny gun though...

Annnnyway. My ploy for headswapping worked! And for £25 (well £25 plus £11 I suppose) this 'complete' Jakku Rey is pretty good.

Its almost as if they want the KO companies to make a fortune when they release a superior version for £60
