If there was a modification to just hide the panel beside the head I might considered it. Also getting rid of those tampos completely.

The latter can be done with rubbing alcohol (there are also solutions for getting rid of the tampos without damaging the paint underneath - check the Radicons tutorials).

I don't think the panel can be modified because those two pieces are diecast, but I could be wrong - I'd be totally up for a mod.

Moving it down or hidding would also work IRRC.....

A mod you say? That has been on my mind for quite some time. In theory, you could mod the panel by cutting a part of the circle (where the pin goes through) so that it becomes a clip-on piece. Problem solved! :D

Sounds destructive though. But it's diecast, isn't it? So it'd probably be pretty hard to cut.

The tab is a plastic piece, I checked to make sure.

Oh, it is? I thought someone said it was diecast. In that case, maybe something can be done with it.

The issue with the uneven rear spoiler seems to be more of a factory defect, than just a misalignment issue. This can be seen when you move back the rear spoiler, you will notice a flash of metal along the front bottom part of the rear spoiler on the right side. Because this part of the spoiler doesn't sit in all the way, this metal flash prevents this from happening. A metal file will solve this problem nicely. zDSC_1338.JPG zDSC_1344.JPG

I havent had a jazz since my g1 in my last collection i sold off.

I picked this up on taobao as incomplete (no accessories) for around 30 ish usd. So glad I did. Its not perfect, but i love this figure. i would buy a reissue via zeta etc etc if they had that panel fold on itself or some clamp hinge thingamajig

i started to mock up some changes ill make. the right headlight has some clay in it. ive been coloring clay different colors to see what i like the best. technically i like the black the best but i want to match the hip skirt additions ill make. ill probably color match the lighter blue eye add on or go cartoon colors. not only will i color that skirt area ill raise it a tad as seen on the left hip skirt. i just dont want a flat paint job there.

i also added a black insert (it will be white when done) in the opening near the hands. there are a few slots there and one could make a flat piece with a single, double or fork peg to hold a panel into place.

    now i need weapons.

eta on mods being complete... 2025

I had the same issue the first time i transformed mine. I transformed him back to full robot, then back to a car and was able to get him perfectly aligned. Don't remember the exact issue. But i would try that before taking any pliers to him!

i thought about it. but i may also cast my own, i need to look at it first. since im casting sunken clear colored lights i may match his visor to it.

Im starting on Jazz end of feb, early march. Redoing the office in a couple of weeks first (paint, flooring, etc) then fixing up the garage for a dedicated modding zone. need to build a shitty workbench area with shelving etc. im going to move my mini airtank, all my paints, out there. set up an old pc/monitor for the interwebs and the eventual 3d printer purchase one day etc etc....... being its for the garage, it can look shitty, so i should be able to put it up fairly quick. it just needs to be functional. then i start on my mod list

Okay, what's the secret to transforming this guy? It looks to me like the cause of all the woe is fitting the silver tummy bucket around the arms. Doesn't seem to fit properly without bending the black brackets to which it is attached. It looks like it WANTS to sit with both the silver piece and the black brackets flush and parallel with the arms, but it just won't DO that.
