    Episode is On Demand.

They find Grimlock at a power station on the outskirts of a city after Teletraan-X digs him out of the ground with a front shovel. He’s stuck in a sort of stasis (though they don’t use that term) in beast mode due to lack of Energon.

Wondering how he got here (after Teletraan-X scans him and reveals his identity to Windblade and Bumblebee), Teletraan-X reveals he has access to Teletraan-1’s files and shows footage of what happened: The Ark was going down over Earth, and Grimlock got awakened accidentally in the chaos. A hole opens up in the ship and a few pods fall out including Bumblebee’s. Grimlock tries to save him but ends up ultimately loosing his grip on the pod and (shortly after) the ship, so he falls to Earth as well. Teletraan-1 then sent out Teletraan-X to go after them.

They hook him up to all the electrical lines and boot him back up, but he goes on a rampage. He enters the city but no one is around (because it’s night I guess). Eventually Teletraan-X calms him down with a song, and they bring him back to the station.

Grimlock’s beast mode is in complete control (so he talks in the “Me Grimlock” manner) and wants to know where his friends are, as well as where his crown is (They had dug the crown up with him). They struggle to break the news to him that the dinosaurs were wiped out by the asteroid. After getting his crown, he runs off trying to find his friends.

By morning they get to a mountain which Grimlock starts trying to dig through and slam into. Inside is a base he built meant to resemble the bridge on the Ark. He starts typing on a bunch of panels, eventually accepting what happened to the dinosaurs and tossing his crown aside in dismay. A video then plays with Grimlock in robot mode leaving a message for the future about the asteroid, with him and his friends (a number of dinosaurs, including a triceratops, raptor, some sort of sauropod, and a tiny spinosaurus ala Undermine) showing bravado in the face of what is going to happen. This allows Grimlock to remember who he is and transform.

He picks his crown back up, puts it on, sits on the command chair, and says with a smile that he forgets himself when he transforms. It ends with him formally welcoming them to his headquarters, “the crowning achievement of dinosaur civilization”

I hope it is on Dailymotion soon.

Also, I am curious about the other dinos, if only because I want to know if they're robots or organics

That bit about the dinosaurs actually sounds kinda morbid.

So those two pods other than Bee are clearly set up for later.

I think, since it's clear the Transformers had these Earthy modes MILLIONS of years before human civilization, that perhaps those two pods are found by a human organization and researched/reverse engineered ala Sector 7 and Megatron, which is why our automobiles resemble Autobot alt modes.

Also, do we think this is 2018 earth or maybe earlier like say, the 80s.

No visual indication. They're animated with a solid blue top panel no peak inside, not even a silhouette.

I can't really imagine them not building on this eventually though.

If the Ark really did crash at the latest, 65 million years ago from the sound of it, than Transformers in this continuity are wayyyyyy older than they're usually described to be. Just an observation.

Transformers are born as teenagers and generally live a natural life of several million years if something doesn't kill them.

Apparently traveling without space bridges from Cybertron to Earth takes awhile, and the Decepticon Armada is en route and the war has been raging on between both sides in the absence of Megatron and Optimus for these many eons in the spirit of Marvel G1.

I don't know if Megatron is even with the Armada but I reckon he'd wanna secure the AllSpark personally.

    Can't wait to see!

Preview clip for episode 15: King of the Dinosaurs
    Transformers Cyberverse: Grimlock's Return (Spoilers)

The preview has already been posted over in the The Official TF: Cyberverse Torrents thread but I thought I'd post the video here as well.

Also, it looks like Cartoon Network has made the videos available for everyone so non-US viewers should have no problem watching it.

    Thoughts on the preview:
    - I still dislike Bumblebee's radio voice. It just grates on me.
    - I'm really starting to like this incarnation of Grimlock's character.
    - So two other stasis pods fell out? I wonder who was in them.

    Favorite line:
Grimlock: "Teletraan-1, how can I save the crew?"
Teletraan-1: "Go to my main console and-"
*Grimlock loses his grip and falls screaming towards the Earth*
    Teletraan-1: "Never mind."

Finally got to watch it due to an AirBnB and I love it so much.

While they blew Grimlock's return, the fact that they handled it how they did was brilliant.

The episode is up on the Cartoon Network website, but not a full episode. Just two halves.

Well I was not expecting that. Grimlock in dinomode doesn't sound like Tracks. I kinda like the idea of him only talking that way in Dino mode cause hearing Me, Grimlock all the time is annoying.

Transformers Cyberverse - Season 1, Episode 15 "King of the Dinosaurs"

    Review

    Ho boy, I'm… honestly disappointed.

I'll just be very blunt: this episode feels like wasted potential incarnate. It had so many good ideas and it basically did nothing with any of them and because of how it handled things, the episode didn't have the emotional impact it tried for and that I feel it could have had if they had only done something more with their ideas.

I think it'd have been much better if this episode was set almost entirely in the past from when Grimlock falls towards the Earth: we see him land, see him deal with the situation, make friends, build the base and deal with the impending doom of all of his friends and potentially himself. It'd have allowed us to actually spend time with Grimlock as a character. The ending to the episode would have been Grimlock being uncovered in the present and the next episode would have been what actually happened in this episode.

It feels like this episode tried to center itself around something it hadn't actually build up: we have no emotional connection to Grimlock, his friends or what happened to them because we never saw them. Grimlock also doesn't appear to care much about his friends as he gets over them rather quickly, which was something that could have been explained like by showing us that Grimlock is good at compartmentalizing or that when he saw the video, he was reminded of how he and his friends had come to terms with what was about to happen.

It's a shame because I really like this incarnation of Grimlock but that is also part of why I have to rank this episode so low. The other part is that it feels the episode skipped over something interesting and suffered as a result.

    Points

    - I don't like Bumblebee's radio voice. I really, really don't. I know, I know, I've said that a lot already but it's so bad that it's actually making it hard for me to sit through the scenes he's in and he's in almost all of them! To be honest, he also comes across like a jerk by how insensitive he seems to be to everything. There's not being able to read the room and there's just not caring and he seems to fall in the latter camp. Now, I can like jerk characters - I liked Sentinel Prime - but those characters usually have enjoyable or funny dialogue (or is the victim of slapstick jokes) while Bumblebee is a character whose dialogue is entirely in references. Those don't feel clever and because he's always spouting references, constant, it never had a chance to be funny because it started out old. There's no break. There's no variety. There's just here's a line that vaguely relates to what's going on but which deliver doesn't match the tone of the scene at all.

    - I love how Cyberverse Grimlock has the same gaudy taste in crowns as Marvel Grimlock.

    Special: Fridge Horror

You know, this episode becomes infinitely sadder if you know how the dinosaurs died: it wasn't from the meteor's impact itself but from the ecological devastation its impact caused. Ash was spread so far and so wide and was so thick that it blocked out sunlight, which caused plant life to die, which caused the larger herbivores to die, which caused the larger carnivores to die. Depending on when Grimlock went offline, he might have had to watch his friends die a slow death from starvation. I briefly thought that it was odd he wouldn't be able to construct some means of growing plants and producing meat since he and his friends had constructed a high-tech facility but then I remembered that larger dinosaurs required a significant and constant supply of sustenance so that probably wasn't an option.
