I coated all the balls on my joints with clear lacquer which really helped. The lacquer works better than acrylic because it actually melts the top layer of plastic and bonds much better than acrylic. Acrylic will wear off with use. Also, I've found that a lot of these cups on the ball joints have a slot inside that often have flash and or sharp edges that shave the balls making them looser with use, so I use a small sanding tool to smooth out the edges.
Hahahaha. I've learned to not pin my hopes on retail's distribution chain. We won't see seige deluxes being widely available until well after the new year.
Don't you think that would be bad for business? Collectors Will buy whenever they become available but we are a small niche group, parents, grandparents etc people who buy toys for kids are in the majority and Christmas season would be the best time for them to have their product out there imo
You won't get any argument from me. I assume that hasbro and major retail are playing a game of 4D Chess that I am unable to grasp because it contradicts logic.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I did mention that Toy Anxiety has all of the Deluxe's right? And at a decent price. I get that some want not only absolute bare bottom retail but even a sale if they can find one, but I'm just saying... if simply getting the figures is your goal I'd truck over to TA and nab them while they still have them in stock.
Just wanted to let you guys know, the Arizona International Auto Show is in town again, and Bumblebee will be there. I've heard he's represented by both a 12-foot-tall statue and an actual VW Bug. I'll find out for sure tomorrow when I'm there.
Just got back from the auto show. It's just the statue, no VW Bug. It's a pretty damn cool statue, though. Seemed way bigger than 12 feet, more like 16. They also had a guy in a ten-foot-tall robot costume walking around the Dodge area. If you look closely, the face was made from a Movie Optimus Prime mask.
Ross at Priest and Elliot has a ton of TLK deluxes in both the front and back toy areas, but most notably has a lone Cogman. I put it behind that game set and then full obscured it after taking the picture seen here. Come and get it while it's still here! I also saw a deluxe Sqweeks, wave 3 bees, strafes, slug, and crosshairs, as well as some legion primes and hot rods. Theres also tons of RC Sqweeks, some voice changer masks, an all spark Sqweeks, some one step changers, some 1 step giant dragonstorms, and a plethora of rescue bots stuff mainly featuring bumblebee.
Cogman at Maricopa Ross. He's at the very end behind the thunder tumbler and magic tracks. There's a Rescue Bots Bee in front too.
Yeah, but since I live in Tempe and work by Falcon Field they are sooooo far out of my way, lol. Waiting or paying an extra $5 shipping online is worth it to me to avoid the hassle of traffic to and from TA.
I don't believe so as of the last time I was in (last Wed.), but you may want to call ahead and/or take your chances.
So last night I'm checking out any possible new TF's at the Target on 24th St/Baseline and found that a re-packer had been there. They took one of the recent Siege Legend two-packs and replaced the two figures with some older and/or off brand figures of similar size. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see a fellow fan do something like this. We're a fairly small community, so if one of you posting or lurking here was the person who did this please don't do it going forward. You probably don't realize this, but you hurt your fellow fans way more than whatever amount of money you get back by falsely returning a toy... essentially stealing a toy... could bring to you. It just really, really sucks.
I've seen that antic long ago, where someone stuffed a half transformed 2007 leader class Optimus in a 2009/2010 ROTF leader Optimus box and returned it at a Gilbert Walmart. Makes my blood boil.
Yeah, I've seen this a few times as well and it's just the worst. I don't want to derail into an off-topic, but I felt this issue (especially since it's at the local level) was worth bringing up. Again, we're a small community and since only an 'adult' (and I use that term loosely here) collector would do this I'm hoping this post will touch that person in the feels and perhaps influence them to stop doing this going forward.
