I really, REALLY hope we see an Optimus, Jazz, or Powerglide bundle. I know there's an Aerialbot bundle but the odds of getting a 4star Powerglide from that seem incredibly low.

 

If you want him for superion, you have a 1-in-6 chance of a 4* pull from the aerialbot bundle being powerglide vs a 1-in-80 chance from a regular character crystal, or even a 1-in-50 chance from a powerglide crystal.

The more bots they introduce to the game, the less likely you are to get any one particular bot from a non-combiner bundle.

Plus the combiner bundle gives you a boatload of combiner spark for the very combiner you’re after, to make them actually useful.

While I am not a mathematician or a statistician, I would think my odds of pulling a 4* anything would be worse than a 1 in 6 chance from the Aerialbot bundle, given that there is only a 1.8% chance to win a 4* from most pulls, paid or free in this game. Add in the fact that you have a greater chance to pull a 2* or a 3* (88% and 10.2% respectively) and my chance would seem to be more like, at best, 1 in 18. Worse if you take into account the weighted percentage can of pulling a 2, 3, or 4star on any given pull.

The 16k combiner spark from the $39 bundle would be nice though.

 

And here he is. Took way too many crystals but I got him.



And on my last crystal I managed this.



And I had enough 4* shards from the 3* dupes I ended up pulling this core. Overall I’m really happy tonight.

I’ll also reiterate:

Yes, there’s a 1.8% chance of pulling “a” 4* from either crystal. I didn’t even address that percentage. It’s the pool in each crystal that makes the difference, and combiner bots have an advantage:

If you get lucky and pull a 4* from a combiner crystal, it’s a 1-in-6 chance of being that particular bot because only those 6 are possible.

A powerglide crystal will give you a slightly higher chance of getting powerglide than any other available 4* from it, which is all but two or three of the existing bots out there. So if you get an actual 4* pull, it’s a 1-in-50ish chance of being your powerglide.

 

And the funny thing about my argument is that after getting both a predaking bundle and a razorclaw bundle, I got two 4* razorclaw draws from the razorclaw crystals.


Perhaps it’s more than just a small extra chance of the named character from the crystals? It could even be seen as nearly 50/50 chance of the 4* being the named bot depending on how you approach it.

But now I’m at a crossroads....I was expecting predaking to be my primary combiner but with universal combiner spark on the horizon, Menasor’s looking just as attractive. Hoping for either tantrum or motormaster from my next 4* shard crystal.

 

That universal combiner spark is going to be pretty useful. I can see it used in 1 of 2 ways. 1) Use to increase a combiner's spark inventory towards the amount needed. 2) Use it to go over the amount needed so a combiner can be upgraded.

You meant that should I pull a 4* from the combiner bundle then the odds of it being Powerglide would be a 1 in 6 chance. For some reason I saw that as my odds of pulling a 4* Powerglide, even factoring in the chance for 2* and 3* pull, would be 1 in 6.

Are they going to have a lugnut bundle ? I could use him . I gave up on trying to obtain a BW Meg’s. There the only 2 I’m willing to spend on .

 

I like bw megs SA, but he's kinda weak, mine dies a lot, even leveled up. Is rodimus unicronus any good?

 

I just got all the cons needed for my first combiner, Menasor. Could someone give me the low down on how they work? For some reason I thought it was just use some Ore13 and you are good to go, but it looks like I need to use 700,000 first. Is the energon a one time thing, or do I nee to pay that every time a swell? Any other points or tips any one would like to share?

 

It's to combine them the first time

 

700k to complete the combiner, combiner spark to upgrade them, and ore-13 to use them in battle.

It’s 3 million energon to upgrade them to 4* when you finish that collection.

 

To add to Lightmare's post, you need to be at HQ 14, at minimum, to have enough Energon storage in your base for 3 million to spend for the upgrade to the 4* Combiner. I am currently at HQ 13 & can not unlock my Menasor for now.
