Kinda hard to judge before getting the final product in hand.

I got them today and I love the maniacal laughing face and the other faces are nice too. It helps to differentiate Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker from one another. However, MP11's crown doesn't fit on the new heads though (at least not on my set).

 

I’m curious about this upgrade kit, any pictures you can share here for those interested? And where did you purchase it?

I hoping to see how this set looks on MT Meteor.

 

I'm curious as to why the crown doesn't fit. I'd like to see a close-up, top down view of the upgrade head next to the regular head.

 

So did the kit end up NOT having the helmet and null rays that were shown in early pics?

 

Its the single biggest flaw with mp seekers....both mp-11/mp-3 since the mp-3 days. the center cockpit section sits above the the shoulder/boob intakes. i migh tpick up this kit for both meteor and mp-11. i love meteor but he i still too plain/flat/simple in some areas.

 

And just to add....do the light-ups work? Any pictures of that?

Sorry I am only using my IPhone camera and they always come out upside down on the site.

There are no null rays and helmet.

Wait, so to clarify, the voice clips are only Chinese? There's no English language voices at all? And no null ray's? No helmet?
You get three heads (that don't collapse for transofmrtaion or fit the crown) and a voice box that is only Chinese language?

Each set these guy's produce get's worse.
The Megatron set had a cheap crappy speaker and really badly recorded voice and audio clips but at least you could choose what audio to play and there where a decent number of clips
The Soundwave Kit had reasonable sound quality but it simply cycled through the clips one after the other so you had to listen to a bunch of other clips (including like 3 or four of the weird echoy singing voice) before you get to the single English Audio clip, and then the opening theme song.
The Grimlock set again required you to cycle through multiple clips to get the two english clips.
And now the Starscream kit doesn't even have English clips, and they dumped half the accessories they promised to include?

I bought the Megatron kit and probably would have picked up both the Soundwave one and the Starscream one if they'd done the voice gimmicks properly (don't own MP-08 so ... meh) but they're clearly notinterested in proper international releases for these.

 

In the Ebay ad he says he has clips in English.
If it is possible for someone to review or record the audios,also if someone knows how to reprogram the audios of these Kits it would be fantastic.

 

It could be that there are more clips on the voice clip. I only fiddled with that a little bit before I had to go back to work.

I’ll check after work if there are more clips on the file.

Generally there's no way to record new audio on the type of chips that come with these kinds of devices. They're considered "write-once, read only memory"
Using re-writable chips would significantly increase the cost per unit for zero benefit to the manufacturer.
The only way to put new sounds in would be to source writable or -re-writable chips that fit the form factor of the device as well as aquire the equipment necessary to record to these chips and basically replace the audio chips yourself. The cost, effort and benefit of doing so is unlikely to be worthwhile for personal use.
Only the first set's of thsese upgrades (the Megatron cannon) were produced in several alternative set's with unique audio/lights. I assume that they werent able to sell enough of the indidivual set's to make it worthwhile to keep making multiple variants, so they're just rolling them into one. I suspect the main reason they were able to do the Megatron kits that way was because they paired with IT to include a specific model in their IT-01 KO. They haven't been able to do that with any of the other products.

 

Yeah, these would have been awesome a couple of years ago, when people were generally more accepting of MP-11's flaws because it was the only option we had for an MP seeker. Now I don't really see the point, especially now that I'm feeling more hopeful about the chance of a new seeker mould from Takara.

If not, these could be useful as a replacement for the awful Howling Meteor stock head.
