My exact reaction to seeing this thread.

Seeing the biplane looking good then a split second later seeing the movie Starscream Dorito next to it....."Dammit, oh well."

 

I don’t even really like Movie ‘Screamer and I think this looks pretty rad. If this price is right, I may be down.

I understand; but, sometimes, ya gotta look past the character and see the design.

I think there’s some potential in Anode at least, and especially with Disney Jr. reviving The Rocketeer. I dunno that HasTak will also invest in their own Dieselpunk adventure, but it’s not impossible.

If this wasn't Starscream it would make an awesome Ransack. Just needs the right head.

 

Now, if Toyworld makes a better dropkick, a nice "blitzwing", and the rest of g1 bots in cybertron (shockwave and soundwave overrall), they have my money.

 

It may very well be voyager. Their Bulldog supposedly is.

 

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

 

I'm sold on the engineering alone.

I'm astounded. As I sit here looking at this while taking a break from designing a legends scale Swindler, I'm just thinking "I have no idea what the fuck I am doing".

I have no idea where you even start in figuring out how to get this robot mode out of a biplane triplane, but the end result is glorious. I don't care too much for the Bayverse designs, but the engineering of this figure makes it an instant buy for me.

I have such odd feelings on this guy. He's simultaneously feels like a mess and utterly amazing. Not sure if I'll get him or not. Final deco may be a major factor.

 

I mapped out what I could see of the transformation based on the pics we have, the only obvious thing that isn't marked is that the front of the plane ends up on his back

 

Old airplane+cool engineering=I’m in.

 

Yeah. Ransack would have been much better suited. But ya know... Gotta have those geewun characters in everything.

 

I’m impressed that’s how transformers should be big bulky be into something sleek and compact paint him red and black be red Barron starscream plane
