I've never collected Japanese G1's and I'll be honest, I have no idea if those prices are crazy or decent at all lol

VS goes to ebay for most of their prices. It's pretty close to the going rates for MIB.

The only other G1 triple changer I own, and my favorite Decepticon TC, is Blitzwing.

This is not my original Blitzwing, he was lost to the ether long ago. But he was one of my childhood favorites that I got for Christmas as a kid. When I saw the chance to get this reissue I had to take it.
One of the most fun and unique designs from G1 IMO, Blitzwing was endlessly playable. I loved going back and forth thru all of his modes of which all 3 are awesome.

The tank is a beautiful brick with a fully spinning turret. I’ve always thought this was one of the best tank modes from any Transformers line. Just solid fun.

But my favorite mode was the jet. This thing is gorgeous. Who cares if it’s unrealistically purple, it looks great. This bad boy looks like it should’ve been in Top Gun. I love how the tank turret seconds as rear landing gear in this mode too or a gun turret for the jet if you whip it around. Great use of extra parts!

And finally, Blitzwing in bot mode. Such a great use of his bulk to give him an awesome silhouette. His accessories are great, love that sword. Blitzwing is probably the only G1 Transformer TC that didn’t compromise any of his modes for the sake of the others, at least not in any way that took away the essence of any of those modes. He is well balanced in all 3 modes IMHO and I love it. He just looks so great!

Also tank barrel extended optional. Enjoy!

Cool. That's a figure I can only dream about, unfortunately.
Cool. Depressingly, I found the turret belonging to a vintage Blitzwing at my grandparent's, but just the turret, and the sword, I think. The turret's rubsign was even still partially intact, although the turret was rather battered.

If you don't mind me asking, how much of that Black Zarak is original? I know his feet, chest and tail are super prone to GPS.

I have a question about Road Caesar. I picked up the 3 bots (2x MIB and 1x MISB) at BotCon many years ago.

2 boxes have a Hasbro globe with the Takara logo on the front right bottom corner. The last box has a black robot face with 3 characters.

Are the first 2 boxes from the 1995 Chinese re-release and the latter the original 1989 version? Thanks!

I keep hearing Ron Burgandy in my head, "I'm in a glass case of emotion!!" That is slaggin' impressive. I dread to think how much it's all cost you over the years.

I like that you're not above including kos and customs. I spotted your Drift repaint from G1 Boss. I made one myself a few years ago after seeing a Photoshop done by an artist at Auto Assembly.

I assume you're using the ko Seekers as Acid Storm, Hotlink, Red Wing and Sunstorm.

I have to recommend the third party clip on heads for G1 Ratchet and Ironhide. They really elevate the toys and look great with the other Diaclones.

Can I ask who the Micromaster police car and ambulance behind Micromaster Hot Rod are? I saw them recently on EBay but thought they were kos.

Nice to see another Stunticon fan here especially one who appreciates the Fansproject versions.

Oh and in the spirit of the thread, here are some upgraded and resized G1 toys...

Just wondering, but does anyone know what kind of paint they used on the G1 toys?

100% unless it's obvious like the $1 seekers or my drift, everything is original
Check the transformers logo. If it is a lot of letters, it's the Chinese version
Pretty sure i remember that ps of my custom lol. The ko seekers were about $8 cad, and in the rainmakers +1 colours, couldn't pass them up. i try to keep it as pure as possible, no add on kits allowed etc. The micro set is i think a four star ko set like the seekers etc. I think you caught all the kos lol

I had the purple and green Seekers at one point myself.

I've been wondering about those Micros myself.

While I can understand your stance on add on kits, there are some nice ones out there for G1 like the heads for the vans and the Predaking head that can turn and as an led for the optics.

What do you think of Device Label Optimus Prime with the more cartoon accurate head sculpt? It was a grail of mine until August. I never liked the original head with the creepy yellow optics. Plus the rocket pack kit with a Matrix for his chest and his famous axe are quite nice.

I'm planning on customising a Black Zarak myself by repainting a Scorponok body. There's an EBay seller who sells reproductions of G1 weapons and accessories who's made the BZ head and visor.

He's very good and reasonably priced. I bought crab legs and the little gun for my brother's old Octopunch from him a while back.

I have mps for accuracy, i love g1s in all their quirkiness. Used to have some of the improved reissues, but didn't like them as much. I do like the extras except the head, just seemed too rounded for the sharpness of the mold. I've kind of become a purist. A lot has to do with making the books as well.

Reproman? Yeah he's good. Also a good friend of mine. The first things he casted were for himself and i when i first started collecting japan and used repros to make the figures display well.

I don't often get my g1 off the shelf, so thought I'd share since i did. Screamer and wave are encore and megs is the dreamwave reissue. Normally i like to put megs barrel up his back, but i think that's putting pressure on the joints so stopping that.

    At least MOSC

My laptop SSD broke I probably lost 25% of my photos. I used windows to backup, but some folders are missing! Probably need to start all over again! The thought of it, just not nice. Who knows, maybe picture will be nicer this time, ;) .
