I was actually going to put a 'Con sticker on him, but I had just finished the last issue of Lost Light so I had that whole mixed up universe on my mind and thought, "F**k it, he's an Autobot now." Being an Autobot amuses me since the red face with it's sour expression and horizontal prong horns, dark red windows and dark silver body make him look VERY Decepticon. :D

Agreed. I think the number of QC issues that have popped still are still greatly outweighed by the positive posts. The QC issues shown here seem to be in the same range of every figure that comes out, even FT.

Gauge, maybe go ahead and grab Wildrider and see how you actually feel instead of assuming you'll be hit with some poor QC as well. FWIW, I've felt far more confident in the last two XTB figures I've bought (Skids and Wildrider), than the last two FT bots I've bought (Kup and Arcee...hell my Arcee was broken in TWO places when I got her). And I can't believe I'm saying that.

Got mine and he's pristine. Really stunning in both modes.

I can understand the confusion with splitting the car in half, it is a little bit harrowing, but about the only nitpick i have.

Considering some of the transformation steps other 3p vendors put us through, this is a pretty good transform. Can't wait for the others.

Yeah, I had pretty much written off XTB as a “not for me” company after Boost but I gave them another chance with Cosmos once reviews started coming in. Loved that, then grabbed a Coprimozzo and that was even better. Flipout here is, quite honestly, one of the nicest transforming toys I’ve handled. That’s taking all aspects into consideration: sculpt, paint, transformation, joints. I find it pretty astounding that the same company made one of my most hated toys (Boost) and one of my most loved.

Ha, nearly the exact same experience as mine! Boost is on my shelf simply because there is not another MP Windcharger out there. But I will gladly chuck him off for pretty much any other version. Even more staggering, with how good Cosmos is, Wildrider is STILL on a whole different level.

Finally got mine from Bababo, its mostly perfect, but besides the fact that it kind of smells bad, it has this one small paint flaw on the arm. Its small, but now that I've noticed it I can't stop seeing it. Should I still complain to him and try and get a replacement arm, or should I try and find some paint thats close enough to hide it. If the latter, any recommendations on paint

You can touch that up easily with a red Sharpie paint marker.

Model master stop light red. You can get the acrylic or enamel.

I've been messing with Flipout for the past few days and mine seems to be almost perfect in terms of paint, tolerances, etc. I would prefer the shoulders to be a bit tighter, but they hold poses with no looseness whatsoever. They just feel a little too free-moving.

My only real concern is pegging the gun into the hands. It fits super solidly . . . too solidly. When removing it, I'm terrified of either breaking the gun handle off, or worse, breaking his thumb off. There's not much room to maneuver in there and the thumbs are scarily thin. I'm considering shaving the pegs on the handle down a little to alleviate this. Has anyone else had this issue, and what was your solution? I don't mind taking a knife to a figure if it fixes an issue, but if there's another/better method, I'd love to know.

I just transformed mine. Only serious problem I had was folding the doors out, the tabs that connect to the fenders are beyond tight on my copy. Even watching video reviews I still had trouble. Maybe appropriate that the terrorist made me feel real terror trying to transform him...? No, I don't think it was appropriate. Nice overall, though, really looking forward to Deathwish.

I have done a review on the figure on my channel. I am dead impressed with flipout more so than crack up. I can't wait for the rest!

Transformation was good. I didn't pull the doors with brute force, but I pulled the wheel archs to the outside pressing the doors, it worked cause the tabs have a hook shape.

    Love the headsculpt

Just got Flipout modded & took a few fun photos with Crackup. Dual LED (SMD0805) eyes installed on both figures. LEDs also installed into both guns. Crackup has 4x LED (SMD2835) into his headlights, but Flipout never came with flipout-headlights despite his namesake (too bad!). Installed KFC hands on both figures (custom painted). Looking forward to the rest of these guys!

Use a regular red Sharpie marker. It will let the silver come through the red of the ink and it will still have that metallic shiny red look the rest of the paint has. I've done it on my Eligos eyes piece and it's impossible to tell where I did it. I was told you could do it on V1 Transistor's paint as well but I never had to do that (I bet it would work though from my experience).

Red Sharpie marker is also good for XTB Andras/Swarm pack's eyes.

I don't understand how XTB made Crackup's and Savant's ab crunch tight and this one not so much.

Damn!! 2 for 2 with issues on my X-Transbots figures! First my Skids came with a broken foot (that they say there are no replacement parts for) & now Wildrider is completely missing the small piece above the rear window. 20181120_132105.jpg 20181120_132027.jpg 20181118_212448.jpg
