I did this to mine, and it works perfectly! No need to take apart the figure, and file anything down, no need to add any pieces of styrene or glue.

All that was needed to fix the shoulder issue is a rubber band, and a hairdryer. The over flexible plastic on the back is the problem, and you can retrain/reshape the back plastic if it were to ever become loose again as many times as you need using this method. Sanding the torso or adding material to the figure pushes the back plastic further back, and over time might cause the tabs to become loose again by warping the back flexible plastic even more.

Place the rubber band on the figure so that the band is pulling the plastic on the figure's back through the torso as pictured, and heat it with the hair dryer until the plastic is soft, about a minute or two. Allow the plastic to cool then take the rubber band off. If the shoulder's still too loose just set the rubber band tighter so it pulls the back plastic more forward when you try again.

Now my Blitzwing shoulders tab in exactly as they should have to begin with. I can even hold it by the arm, shake the entire figure and it still stays in tight! I hope this helps others with the shoulder problem.

That's very similar, I hadn't seen that tread, but I did try banding the figure like anindrew did, but mine still wouldn't tab in, I found doing one shoulder at a time with the band pulling the more flexible plastic further forward through the chest area makes the tab connection much tighter, and tab in very well when finished.

Both shoulders fixed only takes fifteen to twenty minutes with this method. If you don't mind spending the time on it, you could probably forget the hairdryer, just place the rubber band on the figure as i pictured it, let it sit a day or two, and that would probably work too.

I'm not surprised others have figured it out, I am surprised the method isn't more popular. I searched for ways to fix the shoulders, and this type of fix didn't come up, only the other aforementioned ones, I even tried Peaugh's suggestion from his review about pushing the shoulder in a bit more, but that didn't work on mine. a soft, and flexible as the back plastic is I'm sure it will vary between figures. If pushing the shoulders in a bit more doesn't work for other people's Blitzwing than this has to be the most simplistic fix, and least risk of damaging the figure.

Hopefully people wanting to fix their Blitzwing will see one of these threads, and save themselves a lot of effort.

You guys are lifesavers! I was looking to have to get a add-on kit (which I normally like, but the ones I've seen have the shoulder tabs partforming, which I hate). Thanks!

Well, glad to see you didn't have any problems with yours. I've been debating on whether or not I should get this figure or the TR version, but this one looked less restricted in movement by what I've seen so far.

I have the part in my Shapeways cart, lol, but I think I'll try this fix first. Awesome suggestion, though!
