I was hoping for PG, but I expected PG-13. Nowadays you rarely see PG movies with action sequences (unless they're pure slapstick). In the past "lite" action movies like Star Wars were PG, and PG-13 was reserved for "edgier" action movies that bordered on R (like Temple of Doom). Nowadays anything with action is lumped into the PG-13 rating, ranging from relatively inoffensive stuff like The Force Awakens to edgier movies like Suicide Squad. Less than two decades ago Attack of the Clones was given a PG, which is hard to believe today. The rating system really needs to be fixed. Because of this, the PG-13 rating doesn't tell us a whole lot. I would guess it would be a "lite" PG-13 like The Force Awakens though.
The rating system always needs to be fixed. I Suggest everyone who hasn't seen "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" do so. As for the Bumblebee Movie's, It was an expected rating.
Exactly. Nothing in this film will warrant a PG-13. It should have been a PG. But then of course everyone would say "it's just a kids' movie" and wouldn't go see it.
Yeah, that's the real reason the PG-13 rating is overused, and the reason why the G rating is rarely used these days (back in the day, Lion King was a G movie, and that has a death in it). A lot of people want to feel like they're watching something "edgy", even when they're not. What's the easiest way to do that? Just bump the rating up so it seems more edgy. Now G movies are PG, and PG movies are PG-13. I honestly think the rating system is just another marketing tactic these days.
Fuuuuck ... I dnt turn 13 til next yr and I’m too embarassed to go with a parent ... this blows donkey dick! ... my local theater is actually lame enough to actually check age bc of unaccompanied minors sneaking into ‘hard R’ movies ... it’s not like they were showing Mandy w/Nic Cage or something but so it goes I guess ...
Who cares? just go in by yourself if you want, they won't check and they won't care. I know someone who went into a PG-13 movie when they were 7 . I know your theatre may be strict but just try. You'll get there, I'm sure.
Hey, I saw the first Transformers movie when I was seven. No need to sweat it, dude. I'm pretty sure a 12 year old can see a PG-13 movie about Bumblebee. Plus, you're young, so no one will judge if your folks take you. Trust me.
If a humanoid figure transforms into a car and as person goes underneath said car, who's to say they're not the scrotum?
Damn I should’ve been truthful on my age. This is wild. I would’ve never guessed. Hold it. We don’t know yet.
