This looks awesome. Is there a non-toxic alternative to epoxy that has the same function?

you put the 1st part on right away on top of the epoxy when it is still a liquid it bonds the 2 parts as 1

Wow. Great idea, never tried this before. How hard is the liquid epoxy when fully cured? Can is survive a fall from a table and not crack?

I'm sorry, but without adequate punctuation, I couldn't really understand most of what you wrote in that post.

    Could you edit it, please?

I personally didn't find it too egregious to understand but that's maybe just because I'm not a Grammar Nazi...

and how well does it take to paint?

or maybe it's possible to mix some sort of color pigmentation into the epoxy?

I'm sorry, have you not graduated from school yet? My apologies if you have not. I'm sure there are higher levels of academic achievements where you are from. I wish you the best of luck.

Regardless, here is a basic guide for online writing:

    - Writing for the Web | Usability.gov

You can see that for most online content, the average reading age should be for around 9 years old.

However, "Grade 9" level language can be applied for more formal writing online, with that being around 14 years old:

    - Ninth grade - Wikipedia

I hope this is useful for your endeavours (especially online writing), should you (or anyone) wish to continue their education past grade 9.

Thanks for the reply! I was a slow learner of English and couldn't read properly until around 8 years old (I was put on the "special" table), when my teacher kept me back during break time to teach me to read. Then, something "clicked" and I raced through books like a fat kid in a sweet shop.

If you like, I could have another look at your original post and try and edit it for you. Would that be useful for you?

I'm in two minds in how to respond to you. Either by saying you're coming off as an annoying pest because you keep hounding people over little things that you really have no business on (such as their spelling, grammar and punctuation, the way they rotate their photos or their opinions on GoBots) while you're trying to be smart or honestly and legitimately thinking you're helping people, or by making jokes at your expense (such as your problems with reading and how you have a hard time understanding and comprehending jokes), like calling you autistic and being condescending towards you saying you don't understand figures of speech.

I'm holding off both because I don't wanna face Ye Olde Administrative Action™.

I understand you're trying to help and you seem like a nice guy and all... but I just think you should back off on this stuff.

It really depends on the formulation, as there are many formulations for different uses. But generally speaking epoxy is pretty durable stuff. So your given scenario should not be a problem at all.

Though a little hectic to use, i've done simple casting such as this using cheap 2 part epoxy from the hardware store. Just be sure to evenly measure out the 2 parts, mix it very well, avoid using water based pigment/dye, and be sure to let the part sit a couple days before trying to de-mould. I usually let it sit a week or two before touching it a bunch.

Alternatively, just about all hobby stores carry casting epoxy resin and accessories. This stuff is designed for this type of thing and is quite a bit easier to work with.

That being said, I recommend looking up how to make "proto putty" on youtube. It's a very inexpensive way of making 2 part moulds. Kingofrandom has a nice video about it, as does bigclivedotcom.

Thank you. My intentions are to help. I'm sorry that you've had a hard time understanding my perfectly clear and concise language. As a teacher of English (amongst other things), I often deal with people in your situation. If you require any help, by all means ask for it.

There you go again with the "I'm better than you because I'm an English teacher and I'm gonna talk down to you because of it" schtick...
Look, I think the thing here is that you're coming off very blunt and your wording's just a wee bit too...
    definite, as it were.

On a different topic, what the hell sorta 'situation' are you talking about? I can understand what you're saying perfectly fine. It's just what both I and (I assume from what I've seen) others often infer from what you post (like the way you swooce right in to a user's thread and post the "How to rotate pictures" link like you always seem to do and... well...
Y'know, this) and our reactions to said inferences, if that's what you mean by me not understanding your wording.

Aaaanyway, back on topic with the moulding...
Has anyone tried this with other sorts of resin (polyurethane, etc)? I don't know if the resin will cure correctly when Play-Doh is used as a mould.
