    If they do go through and reboot Transformers through Bee what would you like to see next in terms of story, characters and designs.Personally I would like them to do something with Quintessa and make her like the Queen of the Quintessons or something and maybe some what redesign her.

    I want to see the Decepticons given their full due as CHARACTERS that contrast and support the Autobots. I want to see the Cybertronians depicted, as a whole, written as people, not plot devices.

    Give me Cybertronian politics. Give me exposition on how things got to his point for our big metal buddies. Give me robot emotions. Give me character-development. Lemme see intra-faction and cross-faction dynamics and relationships between characters.

    Does Starscream resent Jetfire for leaving the Decepticons? Is Jetfire conflicted or ostracized by his fellow Autobots?

    What’s Optimus Prime like under that sure, steady, comforting, sonorous mask of leadership? What does he look like angry? Mournful? What gives him second thoughts?

    How has Megatron changed since he began the prosecution of the Cybertronian world-war? How much have the other Decepticons around him noticed those changes? How do they feel about them? Are some of them there for the revolutionary working man Megatron WAS 4 million years ago? Are some there for the excuse to espouse violence behind a thin veneer of idealogy that the Decepticon faction has become today?

    How do those two Decepticon demographics function together? Show me the friction. Show me the frayed tempers. I know they’re there.

    Show me the icy tension between the Autobots who were once powerful bureacrats and oligarchs who joined the cause for safety from Megatron’s vengeful army vs. the Autobots who joined the movement to fight for justice, and for what they see as rationality, and for the peaceful future of a Cybertron they think could be beautiful under the rule of this, the last Prime, the first matrix bearer in aeons.

    Make these robots feel like fuckin people, man. Make me love them and hate them and cry about them. And then. And only then. Drop them into some absolutely SICK nasty off the goddamn wall mind-blowing adventures where they fight and shit.

    I'd say announce a reboot...

    …and have that reboot full of Transformium-inspired, KSI-iesque, pixel transformations, Creators, Stupid Drones, and the Pathetic Dirty Foursome, because we need more of all of those things! And then introduce characters and concepts the Bay films never touched for good measure, like the Doublespy Punch-Counterpunch, Junkions, pacifists like Beachcomber, Liege Maximo and the Cybertronian Empire, Headmaster Autobots and Decepticons, and powerful multi-changers like Sixshot. Get Shrekt.

    I think they already have decided to make it a reboot around the time of comic con during July, that's why they did reshoots,a SECOND time this October and also they added a G1 cybertron scene that wasn't in the test screenings and the CGI in it looks unfinished so the scene was recently added. Travis said in an interview that he knows that it's a plothole to the protoforms but he shrugged it off! This interview was in July by the way. Also the same interview where he said we would see G1 Cybertron and Cliffjumper. Also Bumblebee isn't in protoform mode in the pod going down to Earth either and during the film if Shatter and Dropkick arrive to Earth out of protoform modes then I will know for 100% it's a soft reboot. If it's a reboot I will scream with joy and giggle!

    If it's a reboot, by definition, wouldn't backtracking to Quintessa contradict that concept??? Personally, I'd like to see The Quintessons and their original incarnation.

    Here's what I'd want:
    A)A clear indication that it is, in fact, a reboot, without all the b.s. doubletalk corporatespeak;
    B)No threads at all to the Bayverse;
    C)Focus more on THE TRANSFORMERS and THEIR STORY;
    D)Let some other characters besides the usual suspects (BB, OP, Megatron and the like) get some focus-especially FEMALE Cybertronians;
    E)Thorough characterizations, along with thorough character arcs, development, and motivations;
    F)No lowest-common-denominator "humor" or antics;
    G)Have people who actually care about the source material, involved -Knight is a good start;
    H)Stop all this, "Well, x/y/z human or earthly phenomenon is the effect of some Cybertronian involvement", b.s.;
    I)New designs-not overly complicated, but referencing earlier incarnations-maybe something like the Alternators line meets G1+IDW;
    J)Craft TF characters who are actually memorable, accessible, and whom we'd connect with, instead of forgettable, one-dimensional cannon fodder, pets for humans;
    K)I may catch hell for this, but I don't care: include some Beast Wars characters, as well as little-known characters who can help us get into our favorite Cybertronians' psyches like Rung & Froid.

    I can think of many more, but I shall stop while I'm ahead, LOL!!

    Aside from the myriad of things I've touched on before (new blood behind the scenes on EVERY level; no more Ancient Buried Mystical Space Crap, Megab**ch or one-&-done fan-favoriting; more cars that would actually be credible [read: already widely commercially available] as disguises; etc.)...

    1) I'd take a general route for the story that is sort of in between the more Carpenteresque direction of "The Thing" and "They Live" - the aliens are already in our midst even as they're attacking us, we don't know where or even when our SUVs or 2-door compacts might suddenly rear up on legs or sprout claws or fangs and start stomping and blasting - and the likes of "Man of Steel" - an alien-invasion story where our only hope for survival when our human weapons and strategy fail is placing our faith in a rogue alien (or in this case, a small faction of them).
    2) Establish that Cybertron is LOST. Completely and IRREPARABLY destroyed by the war. I mean, seriously, the first time we see it, I want to see it in PIECES, crumbling - half planet, half asteroid field. No magical cosmic band-aids are gonna fix it (hence, no point in having them...). THIS is the price of untold millions of years of constant conflict. The Decepticons' new objective, then? Replace it. Preferably with a planet capable of supporting their species, even at the cost of any indigenous lower lifeforms.
    3) Show the ways in which the disintegration of Optimus and Megatron's friendship, rather than the ages-old war itself, is the central defining foundation of who they've become. For Optimus, Megatron has taken virtually everything from him BUT the war - his mentor, his sparkmate, his FACE (hence the mask...cue ceaseless "GIVE ME MY FACE!" cracks :p ) and who knows how many comrades and friends. And for Megatron, Optimus has disrupted his plans to claim Cybertron so thoroughly by this point that the war for Megs is less about ensuring their race's survival at any cost and more about just finally killing Optimus and those who stand with him.
    4) Human characters that are actually useful, palpable and therefore might actually be worth bringing back as heroes - meaning, more Army guys, scientists, and government agents who are more Banachek than Simmons, and less American-Pie horny geeks and sitcom-issue struggling single dads.

    5) A survival horror movie where some group of Autobots & Decepticons stranded on Junkion by accident. With so many Junkion inhabitants trying to salvage their parts, the only way to survive is to team up together. Will they be able to make it?

    I want to see Transformers designs nobody ever imagined before. I want storylines nobody ever imagined of.

    I just want a new and fresh experience on the franchise I love. Not another nostalgia trip.

    Man, I’d happily pay for a future Transformers movie where we could see Optimus emote like Tom Hank’s character in “Saving Private Ryan”, Captain John Miller.

    You know that scene in SPR when Miller decided to attack this destroyed radar outpost. His team wanted to get around it, but Miller tells them they couldn’t just get around it and they had to do something so the next batch of troops that go through there would be safe and never had to deal with the enemy.

    Anyway, what I loved about that scene was when their medic got shot and killed and they were left with a nazi who survived after the big gunfight. So they argued what to do with him, whether to kill him or set him free. Most wanted to execute him right then and there. The translator wanted to spare his life. Some wanted Miller to already back out of the mission.

    When Miller left his team mates, he went and hid from them because he bawled his eyes out. When Miller comes back to his team, they thought he has decided to execute the nazi soldier. But Miller goes on and says to free him and got his German translator to tell him to walk towards the nearest allied outpost to be processed as a POW.

    it would kick ass if we could just see an Optimus Prime, courageous and honorable as a leader, carrying the weight of the fate of his comrades, the Autobots and other Cybertronians. It would be amazing if a we see a similar scene of Optimus hiding from the other Autobots when one of them gets killed during combat, then bawling his optics out and emoting in the same manner as Captain Miller did. If executed well, this scene would rule.

    Agreed-however, that scene took something that neither Bay or his writer's room brought us: writing and characterization of that level. Sadly, IF we ever see characterization like that, there would be a bunch of folks complaining that , "Optimus (or insert generic Transformer name here) is such a wuss". . . And what compounds that, is that tired-ass corporate suit and dominant moviegoer mentality of, "Oh, it's just a toy movie designed to sell toys" :rolleyes: o_O .

    SPR is a great movie, though, a little graphic. . .I'll even say that maybe Tom Hanks could be an ingredient that could help bring the aforementioned about. . .I recall him singing the G1 Theme Song on a late-night talk show before the 1st film came out. . .He's an awesome actor, writer, and director. . .Tom Hanks + Peter Cullen, Travis Knight and others like Christina Hodson, and even Ava Duvernay, could yield serious TF cinematic gold!:thumb :thumb  Could you imagine what kind of filmmaking history our beloved Cybertronians would make if the names I mentioned were involved????

    Yup. Although the first movie captures the essence of the character with lines like “there’s no way to free bumblebee without harming the humans. Let them leave,” or “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.” That’s why 2007 movie Optimus is still the best Optimus there Is. he just became a lame brute after the second half of RoTF.

    TLK was kaput when it was being cooked, burnt when it came out the oven, and a tasteless husk masquerading as an edible meal when it was time to eat.

    I agree 900%!! And that could still include Spielberg, the executive producer of the 2007 movie. I hope the reboot will make this happen. I could just dream of this.

    And I did find a clip of Tom Hanks singing Transformers... :D  would be awesome to have him play a Cybertronian in a reboot directed by Knight, of course. That would kick so much ass.

    There’s this Transformers song cover supposedly by Jewel, if I’m not mistaken. I heard this already after the 2007 movie, maybe before the sequel RoTF as a bumper music in one of the morning shows as they went into commercial but they would be talking about RoTD when they came back. Unfortunately I could not find it anywhere. I’ve looked and looked since I heard it but have come up empty-handed. But the song was covered well and I even thought it would be one of the songs in an album. Sadly, again, could not find it.
