Ah, but only on Taobao? That sucks. Still, it's not as bad as what it seemed like at first.

I just want an upgrade accessory that makes the front windshield stay together in truck mode.

check the mushroom peg of the bottom smokestack bits to make sure there is no excess plastic before attempting to twist them, and shave the shield peg down if pushing it in will require excessive force. My shield peg was visibly around 1-2mm too big

Is it hard to spot? What did you shaved it with?

Unless it’s really bad, yes. Mine had none but I couldn’t really tell until I tried to move it. I shaved my shield peg with an exacto knife but I would suggest sandpaper for a more exact fit.

Try applying some nail polish on the peg.Mine was tight at first, then I filed it a little bit with xacto knife & it went in but loose. Then I applied a coat of nail polish & voila! Its perfect now. It's pretty handy to have a bottle of nail polish around in this hobby. :D

I had to file down the pegs that tab into the roof piece, they were mushroomed more than they should have been based on the hole size

I think it’s safe to say better to wait for their 2nd batches of stuff

Seriously though, when the pre-order folks get an inferior product in terms of quality control, tolerances, and paint...
On the one hand, its good to be responsive and make the figure better. But that's what samples are for.
