I do get the vibe that if there had been another real High Moon game, it could've used a design like this; there's something about the cues that remind me of the WFC/FOC Megatron. Though I will say, it does seem like this Megatron has personality, which I like. I'll pick it up, though honestly what I'd really want (as I've mentioned in other threads) is a "clean" deco with the G1 Marvel comics colorscheme (black helmet, yellow eyes, etc.)

Looks OK but the proportions are not to my liking. The super broad chest with the sunken head that’s too small just doesn’t do it for me. I’ll be getting Optimus from this line but he won’t have a Megatron to go with him unfortunately.

Nice! Thanks! I was told the battle damage wouldn't be removable with traditional means, and I'm glad that's not the case.
Oh, it's stupid easy. Just takes time and some elbow grease. Probably took just over an hour to clean off Megatron's head, chest and arms.
Oh man, he really does look significantly better cleaned up. This line really just kills me that Takara isn’t doing Legends anymore. It’s hard not to imagine the premium paints and how they might have invested a bit of remolding on some of the key characters. This guy with paint like LG CW Megatron would be amazing.
