From shark monster to chunky Pterodactyl, here's Terrorsaur. An arm of the Beast Wars Combiner. The boss, Error, didn't ask for a head resculpt, and said he will likely swap one he has with this one. If you missed the first 2, here they are- Heavy/Scratch: - Beast Wars G1 Combiner Part 1: Rampage Heavy/Scratch: - Beast Wars G1 Combiner Part 2: Waspinator
He is certainly a chunky bird. Looks great though. I’ll tell you what, whoever is getting these guys is gonna be bloody pleased with himself.
This project is fantastic! What are u using for base bodies of all three so far? I dont recognize them?
The beast mode looks kinda like a thanksgiving turkey from some angles... which is kinda appropriate for this time of year. He looks ok in this picture... But from any other angle the wings look too small to support his body. I'm not sure why but this angle kinda makes the wing span look wider in proportion to the body. The robot mode looks great in any of the pictures.
Yeah, I kinda figured that going in. But Swoop has some odd wings too, so I figured it'd be alright. Aiming for a more mechanical than organic aesthetic.
The challenge there was making wings that could either fold away onto his bot legs well enough to not be gigantic eyesores in bot mode, or detach and become weapons and shields with a place in bot mode. I took the latter approach, using his existing swords and styrene parts that could be bot arm shields but they couldn't be so huge that they didn't work for bot mode.
Oh I get why it had to be that way... Just with it being November and the way it makes him look in certain pictures I just couldn't resist making the Thanksgiving Turkey joke. It's amazing you were even able to take Overbite and make him look this good as Terrorsaur. They're two completely different beast modes. He might be a little bit disproportionate but I would not have known that was Overbite if you hadn't of told me.
Its really cool, everything just works. However i have a hard time not seeing a robotic devil penguin in that beast mode.
Now, this Terrorsaur looks like he can do some real damage! I shudder to think of the number he could've done on Megatron, were he hopped up on an Energon boost.
