Oh Good, just what we need another torso with no team...

Again we really have no idea what this line's intent is other than red Swoop and Ricochet and that seems a bit short for something that seems like an all out "line" with it's own name, but they did just do a sub-line of just three figures.

true, but hasbro has been getting more ambitious with their exclusives (both online and retail) since combiner wars so it wouldnt surprise me one bit to see this expand into a full line

As much as I would love more combiners I'm not sure is has bro can keep 6 transformers lines running at once. Unless they too all the GI Joe team and put them on some of the TF projects.

    1. War or Cybertron
    2. Studio Series
    3. Recsuebots
    4. Botbots
    5. Cyberverse
    6. Select Series

the benefit of something like what the select series appears to be is that it is not resource intensive since it would mainly be repaints of existing molds and uses of existing tooling that is yet to be released. remember, prior to universe (the original repaint line if you dont count the expansion of rid2001) hasbro only ever really consistently ran one line at a time. if the select series is somewhere for them to put developed concepts and repaints that have been created but not released then it stands to reason that the budget needed for such a line would be greatly reduced from lines like siege or studio series and could be an easy way to recoup development costs of those unused concepts

Are these two exclusive to midtown? That would be interesting

i doubt it, the listing dont seem to indicate an exclusivity to that specific store when compared to the siege preorders

That's a good point, if your right. As logical as they may be we are just making assumptions.

agreed, assumptions are all this is at the moment and im prepared to be wrong. mainly just spitballing what i would like to see happen coupled with what would logically make sense. hasbro sees the reactions to stuff like the lg-ex releases and the amazon exclusives (including nemesis prime) along with the may mayhem style figures. these extra figures sell like crazy so why not try to capitalize on it :p

You aimed the rocket launcher the wrong way didn't ya? Happens to the best of us.

So is "Paddles not Swoop" gonna be my contribution to the fandom?

notice i said MODERN figures, meaning current, meaning specifically prime wars deluxes (which i also specifically stated). so yes it is too big for current figures. your collection goes back to 2006? good for you, why didnt you get the stepper/ricochet repaint from rts jazz when it was released?

So THAT'S where these went! Quite interesting, and nice that we're getting them! Also, Select Series? Hmm, sounds intriguing. I want to see and hear more.
    PLEASE?!?!?!

I'd say Demolishor is a character that doesn't necessarily need a team.

Simple, Just Redeco any four limb bots into any of the Armada "Cybertronian" Background Generic bots. There's a lot of them just lying around in that show.

Sell them separately or better yet, Part of a Combiner Set ALA Combiner Wars.

There's that unused Rook head that looks like Brawl, and the unused, by Hasbro, Seeker heads. And there could be more heads that we don't know about.
