Im just gonna jump in and give some love to all the lines and details a lot of people seem to be complaining about.

We've had plenty of plain smooth panels for years so it's fun to see them take it to the other extreme with this line.

These bots are gonna look even better after I take a Gundam paint marker to them to bring out all the panel lines.

So far Ironhide is who I\'m looking forward to the most out of this line. Sure it kinda sucks his back and forearms are little hollow but he\'s a fantastic figure nonetheless. I\'m usually not a huge fan of Seekers but I love the tetrajet design and this Starscream looks fantastic. Definitely going to be picking him up.

How do we know Ironhide's size? I hadn't seen a clear scale comparison yet with him

Thanks for the Amazon Japan listings posted at the main news page! It's nice to see this type of need for us Japan based fans!

Btw, I've been told that, although the starting price seems more expensive, clicking the "New (NUMBER HERE), FROM ¥price here" down the screen, and selecting the "Amazon.co.jp" seller option is actually cheaper (as shipping is free and Amazon will usually reduce its price to match any other sellers' price).

    Here's Ironhide's Amazon seller option: - Amazon.co.jp: こちらもどうぞ: トランスフォーマー シージシリーズ SG-17 アイアンハイド

    Here's Starscream's: - Amazon.co.jp: こちらもどうぞ: トランスフォーマー シージシリーズ SG-19 スタースクリーム

(Select "preorder" next to Amazon's listing to get the Amazon's option).

Also, if you want to check out the latest TFs available at Amazon Japan, there is an official page:

(Be sure to click on "refine" and then "Latest Arrivals" before searching/bookmarking. The latest toys can then be found scrolling down to the bottom of the screen).

You have no idea how helpful that second link is. I buy all my MP's from there, but never thought it had an official page.

    Thank you sir.

Playing devil's advocate, I would argue of whether the extra effort in panel lines would significantly increase the production costs (deadlines have to be made) and today there are CAD programs that significantly decrease the amount of sheer labor going into greebly details in comparison to sculpting by hand. I would actually argue that greebly details such as these would actually help in decreasing costs; these details could reduce the overall plastic content in each figure which could add up into savings.

I really like that Sixgun, he looks like a bot in a lead role.

Ooh,Starscream looks really nice in these pics. Ironhide's also tempting, but I might wait for in-hand pics before I get him. The hollow areas on his back and arms are confusing me a bit.

Really cool that they are doing all these characters. Do kids know how they are aside from Ironhide?

This line isn't exactly catered just to kids, but I'm sure (if they're anything like I was) they'll be into it too. As for popularity, I don't see kids knowing Ironhide over Prime or Megatron, but characters like Skytread and Cog are sure to seem brand new to youngsters.

Ironhide has entirely hollow arms, and a giant square void in his back? For a $20 toy, that looks really, really bad. Not enough to ruin the figure, but I hope that's not going to start a precedent for "It doesn't matter because you can't see from the front."

While we've yet to see proof of his size, I suspect these hollow bits let him be bigger overall.

I wonder if Six Gun will integrate into T30 Metroplex in some way?  Besides as gun parts, that is.
