    OP, you're weird.

I'm pretty sure we're better off not knowing.

If they're producing steam specifically to release heat, and its not that they've produced steam for pressure or heat transfer and then sprung a leak, totally like perspiration.

Although considering that there is a nice little thing from Marvel comics, I do think that they have a build up of material that does have to be removed.

Some manifestation of exhaust is pretty much the only cross-canon consistent mention of waste. I guess you can think of it as farts - but then you'd have to think about all the cars and jets around the world farting as it's a similar effect. So, let's just call it exhaust and leave it at that.

And no, before anyone goes there, not every Cybertronian requires an exhaust port.

Yes. That’s what I meant. I should’ve specified steam to release heat (from a combination of different factors like environmental and internal as their sparks tend to also radiate heat energy).

Just bay’s transformers. Otherwise, there’s no evolutionary reason for Cybertronians to engage in exactly similar excretory processes as humans do.

Although Cybertronians can cry imho. They’re beings with feelings and emotions so crying is a natural reaction and response.

I guess in any discussion of Cybertronian waste, one needs to think about their primary source of sustenance: energon.

Based on existing lore, energon can take the form of pure energy (like nuclear energy or electric energy) or can come in the form of fluids (after all, energon rivers exist in the lore). There are also several references to energon deposits which I’m thinking could come in a semi-solid form or resource similar to uranium deposits. Only one thing is sure. Energon is pure energy or an element that could be converted into pure energy. What it is not is a biodegradable substance such as human food so Cybertronian digestion and excretion will not be anything similar to a process that carbon-based living organisms go through. Human waste is made up of dead and living bacteria, undigested food stuffs (fiber), protein, water, fats, salts, etc. energon’s byproduct would most likely come in the form of water (steam) so in all likelihood Cybertronians sweat a lot or otherwise release residual steam.

So, unlike carbohydrates which is the primary energy source for humans and which humans consume and turn into energy that all kinds of organs and muscles can use.

Whatever other stuff that goes through during digestion in the human body is filtered into waste and is eventually expelled.

Cybertronians consume energon in a similar manner you charge your electric car with electricity. That energy is used up and converted into other forms of energy, among them is heat.

I don’t know about Cybertronians eating metal.

I am starting to wonder why this series has humans in the first place.

Maybe, or maybe not. I don't want to know.

They can eat things other than energon it seems (but it probably doesn't provide optimal nutrition) that are based on metal i.e oil cake, cesium salami. They also drink oil on occasion.

For what it's worth, humans are incredibly inefficient in terms of waste. If a being were 100% efficient, there would be no material waste - just heat and gas.

No mention of G1 Blot, who exudes uncontrollable smelly waste by-product? IIRC G1 Skalor had a similar issue.

Also, rust such as Cosmic Rust, or from Autobot Lightspeed's allergy to conventional energon, could be considered a waste product as the body decays with disease/reaction.

Finally, the lubricants that invariably keep a Transformer's internal systems from destroying themselves thorough friction would absolutely need to be changed. Hoist served as the chief maintainer of the G1 Autobot's bodies to keep them in prime condition.
