As others stated, I got both chests and the metal insignias on the first release. The only thing I do remember being spotty were the metal insignias, not the chests.

Agabyss.com and has the metal insignia's. I'm not sure the other retailers do or not on the insignia's but when I was buying the first time around, mostly Chinese sellers had it only so I would ask, if you go other US retailers before purchasing one.

 

Agabyss's listing says it comes with 3 chest plates but doesn't mention the metal insignia. Do you know it comes with the insignia because that's where you got yours?

 

No. I got mine somewhere else before he got them. Just email him. I personally saw them at his shop and should still have them. He might of forgot to post it because he did say they were on the way, after he got his shipment of OS Megs already. If you don't get an answer within a few hours, let me know. I will text or call him.

I'm just going by what I was told 2 pages ago. When someone was looking for the chest plate, I answered that it came in the package. I was told those who pre-ordered before December received them without the chest plate, and that all the ones since came with it.

As for insignias, no release came with them. Some sellers may have thrown one in - I recall seeing a few listings when I bought mine that had it included (at too high a price increase). Otherwise, you need to buy it separately for a few bucks.

 

I have an update! Agabyss's stock comes with the special chestplate, but without the metal insignia. I also contacted RoboToyBase and got the same response. As Arrowhead said, one way or another we have to get the insignia ourselves. To eBay!

 

Hi all. I've been out of the 3P loop for sometime and am wondering if anyone has released a hand upgrade kit? Those are seemingly inevitable from Dr. Wu and others, but I haven't found any yet

Used to be that KFC did articulated hands for all Takara bots but they've kinda petered out on that - seems there were too many people whining about their hands being too breakable (I've never had a problem with them) so they stopped including them on figures and, consequently, stopped making them for other figures. I've never heard of anyone doing articulated hands for other 3Ps, though, and definitely not Wei Jiang's. It's too bad cuz I agree he'd be nice with articulated hands. Hell, I still wish someone had made hands for MP-01.

KFC is still restocking what they have made. I thought they just absolutely quit doing those for their figures because, they are garbage.

 

I don't understand that thought. I think they're great. Fully articulated hands with ball joints at the base knuckles so they can splay out and do natural hand poses. They're so much nicer than what we see on Zeta and FT figures. I guess they're probably more fragile but I've never had any of them break or fall apart. I will admit that their upgrade set for mp10 feels a little off - the plastic is a weird texture and the gun doesn't tab in very well - but otherwise I've had no trouble with them at all. Got transistor and Ditka, used to have Apollyon until I replaced him with IT MP36, and I've installed upgrade hands on Magnus, Soundwave, osko Grimlock (Delta Magnus hands with 3d printed adapters) and I've got hands for Ironhide and Ratchet on the way, along with a second Ratchet set that I intend to mod for xtb Savant. I've also got c9 Quakeblast who also has a fully articulated hand, albeit with a loose thumb joint that I had to future up. I just don't get the hate for them - don't swing your toys around by their fingers and you shouldn't have a problem.
