Hi everyone, I would like to share a quick little custom I did last night!...

So here he is, my custom Drift!

(That sword does not have a place in alt mode, just there for posing)

Sorry I forgot to take wip pics, but as you can see, he was made by useing Gen Drift' head on R.I.D.(2015) Alpine Drift's body.

It was a really easy mod, all you have to do is take the torso apart(that was the hardest part), widen the neck slot just abit with a hobby knife, and put the torso back together.



Does he still transform you may ask. Yes, he does! (Although there is a small gap in the hood now...)

I dig his composition. If his head was just a teeny tiny bit smaller, it would be a perfect almagation of the two drifts.

 

It's slightly too big but it's not really an issue when he's posed (like the first pic). Pretty clever headswap though, and it's a great alternative to the one Takara Adventure Drift.

 

The arm panels covering the hands is still kinda annoying personally but other than that it looks great!

Thanks! I actually did this because I like the Takara one, but while the art show the MTMTE head, but the actual toy has like a "pout lip".

Ya, I might fix that, but it's goong to be more then a quick switch/mod.

Ya, I saw him, but 1. He is pricey!(mine cost $18 total), 2. He comes with that R.I.D. Jazz that I have no need of(I'm a mostly newer CHUG guy), 3. I really dislike the yellow on him, and I mean what is up with his lips?!, 5. I really don't like IDW...

 

Coincidentally, IDW is what happened to his lips!

Steamshield's head from shapeways fits nicely.

 

Yes, and while some of his stuff looks amazing, I do not like the way 3D print looks, and I'm not good enough with paint to make it look good.

And sorry Steamshield, I love most of your stuff, but I just really don't like that Drift head...
